Old Dale is but a humble old frontier town. Governed by some mayor, lorded by some lord, ruled by some king. That was Old Dale, the old town, was all supposed to be. A peaceful and quiet paradise where the pace of life is slow, much different from the populated cities.

But of course, that's not true.

The dragon's wings loom over the small town, and the townsmen run for the safety of their town hall, as if it can help against a dragon's wrath.

What were you even thinking?

The dragon lands just outside the gate, the town's walls aren't even tall enough to cover its large feet.

It's a frontier town, either it borders another country or an area that can't be settled by humanity. And Old Dale, humble as it is, unfortunately borders the latter.

The dragon lands just outside the gate, the town's walls doing a poor job of covering its humongous body.

The dragon roars and its fiery breath stretches just above the town, just high enough to not damage the houses and for the people still outside to feel the heat while it paints the sky red.

"Where is the wizard?!" The townsfolk's bones trembled as they feel the dragon's voice boomed.

"If you do not tell me where he is I will turn this place into ash!" The dragon said fuming with rage. The townsfolk knows no wizard, they could only pray for the gods to help them.

The dragon, being impatient, prepared to unleash their flames once more.

"You can only blame yourself and the wizard, humans. Blame yourselves for crossing paths with him. NOW WALLOW IN DESPAIR." Just as the dragon was about to set the town ablaze, their head vanished, its body gone limp.

A small silhouette can be seen floating just a couple of meters above the dragon.

The Old Dale, with its life being slow and comfortable...

The folk knew of this man. An old one came in rags and used magic to entertain children. They helped him settle, built him a small house. They welcomed him as their own.

As insignificant as it may be...

After years of settling down and helping their community.

Still moved the heart of a monster.

The old man left without even a goodbye, without even a letter. The town did mourn, but hoped that the old man may return.

The Old Town no longer have to fear what is beyond their walls.

To which the old man did.

Because the old man, once a monster, now their wizard, is finally back home.
