Vernal looked at the men behind her, battered is the best she can describe the state that they are in. The last few months was a disaster for the tribe, everyone knows that. Increased activities of professional huntsmen made raiding almost impossible without running into one of them. By all means their tribe aren't simple pushovers but real huntsmen are just in another level. Maybe their veterans can go pound for pound against one but the risk of death to even one of their best guys would be a bigger loss than lost loot.

"You guys think Trent will yank another kid like he did with Ytrohs?" One of them asked in the back.

"Probably, hope he doesn't turn the base into a daycare though." Another answered.

Trent is one of their veterans. Capable and dependable, all the traits that an old timer would have in this line of work, you can bet that he's got it. Although his abilities can't be question some people did wonder what's going through his head when he started to bring in new bloods in their tribe, young ones at that.

Now of course they do train their people to fight at the very young age. After all, their ideology states that strength is the one above all but what matters is the rate in which he brings in the new bloods. Some thinks he's trying to garner support by trying to implant new bloods that thinks of him as their "father figure" in high positions, considering the ones that he keeps on bringing has the potential to grow even stronger, Ytrohs for example.

But that's not true at all. He's already popular enough to have a say in important matters, and he did have a chance to take over then but he didn't, that was more than enough to show he's loyal to the Tribe and by extension, to Raven. And besides she already know what Trent was trying to aim for.

This life, marauding, is no longer the same as before. Raven and Trent talked about it and she overheard. About how it's not the same as it was two decades ago, even way back two decades more.

The world's population is slowly catching up to Remnant's continents therefore the people need more ground to settle, somewhere people haven't claimed yet, somewhere people can start a new life... Somewhere here.

It won't be long until the huntsmen find out about their very location and if they did the whole Tribe will have to make their stand. That's why Trent has been bolstering their forces for an unavoidable fight. Of course with their numbers they won't win a prolonged fight, but they don't need to win a war, just dissuade them from coming, show them it's not worth losing men just to gain a few more land.

Vernal was about to let out another sigh but her semblance noticed someone hiding just a couple paces in front of them. Their presence is very faint but fortunately her semblance still worked on them.

"I know you're there. Show yourself!" She said in the most intimidating tone that she could muster. Mimicking how Raven would against an enemy. Her group immediately took notice and readied their weapons.

It didn't take long for whoever it is to show themself. What laid before them was a young man so thin that his bones are almost visible.

"I believe it is your semblance that let you found me?" He asked Vernal, she doesn't like how he speaks like an elder despite his clearly younger age.

"First of all, I ask the questions. Second, Who are you?"

"Apologies, the name is (F) (L)."

"A weird name."

"I'm offended."

"What brings you so far away from civilization?"

"I lived in a city nearby, I did not fit well with its people and so hearing about a group of people living here I decided to try out my luck in your organization."
