Ventus Pov
It was the day of open house and I was walking to school with Esdeath on my arm before we see Kiba and Xenovia with their blades at Vali's neck getting curious the both of us walked over.
"Hey what's going on here?" I asked.
"Oh if it isn't Ventus I was just talking about you." Vali said while I look at him.
"Is that so by the looks of things I say you have a bigger problem on your hands. You can stand down." I said while Kiba and Xenovia removed their swords from his neck.
"Please continue to what you where saying." I said
"I was just telling the red dragon emperor that out of the three the both of us rank in the top five. Vali said
"Well thanks for the information but power isn't always everything the mind can be a powerful weapon as well." I said
"That's right my man here is strong and smart." Esdeath said with smiled right before Rias and Akeno showed and asked what was Vali doing here before he just walked off saying he more important things before we headed towards the school.
"Hey hun what you said back there was really cool and hot." Esdeath said while we walked down the hall.
"Thanks I learned that not everything can't be solved with punching people in the face sometimes the pen is mightier then the sword." I said
"Well said my son." A voice said coming from behind. I turned around to see my mom and dad who I haven't seen in years. (a/n: considering Tsubaki's and Ventus's parents where never showed I decided to make parent for both of them)

"Good to see you son." My mother said before hugging me.
"Good to see you to mom." I said hugging her back before I turned my attention to my father and we locked eyes staring each other down like who was gonna make the first move. The air around us was still like a river before he smiled as held out his hand towards me as I shook his hand and smiled.
