"Hey, so what are you doing Friday?" He said.
"Chase, I appreciate the effort, but I just want to be left alone right now."
"Oh ok. I guess I'll see you later Ash." He stood up from the seat beside me, and began to walk away.
"Where are you going?"
"You said you feel like being alone."
"That isn't what I said. I said I want to be left alone. Not be alone. Or feel alone. There is more of a difference between those three than you may think."
He showed me a puzzled look. "Explain?"
"I do not want to be bothered, but that doesn't mean I also want to be abandoned. Can't one come without the other?"
He thought about it for a moment.
"I guess it can."
