The Debutante

"Introducing Crown Princess Athanasia De Alger Obelia with her escort, Emperor Claude  De Alger Obelia!" She enters the room.

She looks like a fairy! He glares and we all bow.

"Raise your heads."

The nobles start whispering.

" She looks just like Empress Diana."

" Her jeweled eyes are so pretty!"

The emperor dances with the princess. When the dance ends someone taps on my back. I quickly turn and see Lexi.

" It's time."

"Okay." I'm not ready. What if the nobles hate me?

We start to walk towards the throne but someone's already there. They bow.

" Greetings to the sun and future sun of the Obelian Empire!"

" You may rise."

He starts to talk.

" I want to introduce you to Jennette De Alger Obelia, the first daughter of the emperor." The white dog takes off her earrings, showing her jeweled blue eyes. The nobels start talking.
"Do they have no shame?" "
"Doing this at the princess's debutante!"
"Who do they think they are?"

"Hello father!" the brunette says, lifting her head without permission.

"Father, is Jennette my sister?"

She says,"Yes, Athy, I'm your older sister!"

"How rude, do you have any manners? Who do you think you are you to call my cousin by her nickname so carelessly?" she turns around towards me. "Cousin? You're not my cousin!" she yells. I glare at her. "Do you know who I am?"

"You are a fake! You can't have jeweled eyes!"

"I am Ambrosia de Alger Obelia, the gem of the imperial family."

" This day was only supposed to be about my daughter and my niece." The Emperor's tone sent all the nobles shaking. Claude looks at me, a smile on his face.

"Come here Ambrosia."

"Yes imperial uncle."

The Princess looks at me,"You're so cute!" I blush.

"Thank you, imperial cousin."
" That's too formal, call me Athy."
My eyes go wide as she smiles at me.
" I declare Jennette De Alger Obelia the 3rd princess of the Obelian Empire!" The nobles start whispering about Jennette.

"She doesn't look like Emperor Claude."

" Is she the former emperor's daughter"

" She does have jeweled eyes."

"She didn't even say hi to the princesses!"

"She doesn't have any manners!"

" She did call Princess Athanasia 'sister' and the emperor 'father'."

"She also called Princess Ambrosia a fake!"

"Rose, come here." I do as he says.

"Princess Jennette will live in the Ruby Palace." The Ruby Place is where the massacre happened. To place a princess there means the she will be forgotten.

" Yes imperial Uncle."

" We will be going now."

I don't want tonight to be left on a bad note so in front of the nobles,I bow.

"Have a great night!" I flash them a smile and follow Athy and uncle outside. Jennette is going to the Ruby Palace. Good. She belongs there.
