The sound of a patient monitor blares down my ears, all I can smell is the clean aroma of the deeply disinfected hospital room. Someone's cold rings clasp my hand causing my body to flinch a little. "Y/n? Can you hear me? Please just give me a sign" a familiar voice says in a sad tone. I wrench my eyes open and glance at the boy with long curly hair sat next to my bed.
I look around too see wires attached to different places on my body, including an oxygen mask attached to my face. The boy gently moves the mask down "hey sleepy head..how you feeling?" I bite at my lip before answering "very sore.." he laughs and kisses my head "Eddie..did we do it? Did we win?" He nods and smiles widely "we did it, we aren't monsters anymore.."
I completely forgot about that, the magic vecna used to bring us back must have died with him. "We died but el brought us back" he strokes my hair soothingly, I smile "yay. Now we can get married and grown old together" he places the mask back over my face "I love that idea, but sorry you gotta keep the mask on just incase"
I try to sit up but an overwhelming pain causes me to audibly sob and jolt backwards. Eddie quickly puts his hand on my waist and guides me back down "be careful" Steve bursts into the room and sits on the other side of me "how's she doing?" Eddie nods "she's doing great" I stare at my brother and place my shaky hand on his.
"Everyone's gonna be here soon, mom and dad don't know you're still alive" I sigh in relief just as someone knocks on the door "it's us!" Steve stands up "come in!" El stumbles in with Dustin, Mike, Lucas, will and Nancy. Dustin jogs over and gently hugs me. "You're fucking awesome y/n!" A smile creeps onto my face.
"Can she take the mask off?" Eddie nods "just for a minute or two" Dustin pulls the oxygen mask down with one of those cute smiles plastered on his face. "Hey guys" Eddie puts his hand under my back and gently guides me up. "Eddie will you sit behind me so I have something to lean on?" He nods and takes his shoes off before gently climbing on the bed behind me. I lean back and rest my body on his.
His hands lay on my thighs and his chin sits on my shoulder. "Thank you love" I stare at the heavy casts on my arms and the bandages wrapped tightly around my fingers "it's looks like I have three fingers" Eddie laughs and plants a bunch of gentle kisses on my neck.
Everyone gives each other a look before walking back out "we'll give you guys some alone time, we'll be in maxes room come see us when you're done" I nod and smile. "So you broke both your arms, three of your ribs. Sprained your ankle, got a concussion and smacked you head open plus you got stabbed straight through the stomach, you are one strong woman"
"I'm basically Wonder Woman" he plays with the bottom of my hospital gown "oh really?" I turn my head to look at him "yep really" he grips my thigh and leans in for a kiss, I connect our lips and after a minute of making out he pulls away "wanna go see max?" I nod and he jumps out of the bed "alright I just gotta get a doctor to come take you off the machines."
He presses a help button and after a long 5 minutes someone walks in with a wheelchair "hey darlin how ya feelin'?" I put a thumb up "good good, right let's get ya on this wheel chair" she pulls some of the wires off of my body "ya gotta keep the iv with ya m'Kay?"
She turns to Eddie "hon would you do me a favour and help your girlfriend onto the wheelchair?" He lifts me up bridal style and places me on the wheelchair. "Thank you love"the nurse puts a portable oxygen mask on my face. I grab the metal pole that holds up the IV drip and Eddie wheels me out to maxes room. As soon as I'm out the nurses sight I pull the mask down.
Steve opens the door and pulls me in "has she woken up yet?" Lucas shakes his head "the doctors don't think she will" I wheel myself over to her side "hey we have matching arms" Eddie stands behind me and plays with my hair "can't el do that thing where she gets in peoples minds and shit"
"And do what?" He shrugs "wake her up?" El sits beside max "I could try" a proud smile spreads across eddies face "Good idea love"
