5. Dirty Dancing in the Rain 🥰🏳️‍🌈✨

No one's POV

Steve and Eddie where relaxing on Steves couch while watching some movie Steve had gotten from Family Video, cuddled up together with a blanket draped the two of them, hiding their tangled legs.

Steve wasn't really paying attention to the movie, he was mesmerized by messing with Eddie's rings. That being said, Eddie wasn't really watching the movie either, he was watching Steve mess with his rings.

Both men where satisfied with the fact that they had completely lost interest in the movie. So they just sat there and took in the enjoyable silence as Eddie twirled Steves hair around his fingers with the hand Steve wasn't messing with.

"Eddie....?" Steve asked, looking up at his boyfriend. "Yeah baby?" Eddie responded, moving his hand to cup Steve's face.

"How long would you say we've been... official?" He asked. And Eddie looked at him suspiciously, but a slow smirk spreed across his face.

"23 years. We've been together 23 years."
"Eddie that's impossible... I'm 19 and your 20-"
"I mean in dog years because your a bitch." Eddie said.

Steve hit him on the arm and crossed his arms. "Eddiiiieeeee!!"
"Ok ok, two years. Pretty sure it's two years." He said laughing.

They had never really celebrated anniversaries, the last time it did come around, some more important bad shit was going down so they never really got to celebrate...

Steve nodded and kept playing with Eddie's rings. "Why do you ask Hun?"

"I don't know... it's just- I feel like our anniversary might be coming up soon but I don't remember the date... it's not like we really celebrated last year..." Steve said, still playing with Eddie's rings and watching the TV.

"We can always just set up a random day. As long as I'm with you I don't care how exact our anniversary day is." Eddie said, going back to messing with Steve's hair.

"Aw... Eds..." Steve said, leaning up and kissing his cheek. "Hey don't go getting all mushy on me now." Eddie said, laughing. "You started it!" Steve laughed as well.

They stayed in comfortable silence, doing exactly what they had been earlier only this time actually watching the television.

Steve had the habit of picking cheesy romance movies because it was fun to watch Eddie make fun of them, regardless of the fact he got picked on for it.

This particular time he had picked out an INCREDIBLY cheesy one and I'm sure we all know the title.

Dirty dancing.

Neither of them quite knew what was going on but Steve knew the music so he hummed along. Eddie thought it was cute that he watched cheesy romantic movies, but he would never tell him that.

And yet, when watching Steve mess with his rings and hum the tune of 'She's like the Wind', he couldn't help but comment.

"God your adorable...." He mumbled, kissing Steve's forehead. Steve laughed, and kissed Eddie's hand. "Yeah and your hot."

Steve smiled up at Eddie, taking in the sight of the dull light from the cloudy afternoon gracing his boyfriends face so effortlessly, he was falling even harder by the second.

"Y'know... I have all of these songs on a mixtape." Steve said, looking back at the TV as the Kellerman's Anthem played.

"You do?"
"Yup. It's my favorite to play when it's raining out."
"Well it will probably rain later, maybe you can show me then. I'd be honored to listen to a mixtape with THE king Steve." Eddie said. "We've been dating for 2 years and you still refuse to stop calling me that-
"Correction, 23. Your still a Bitch." Eddie responded, making Steve laugh again.
