Hayes's POV
I felt really bad about what "I did" to Holly. I'm just happy she trusted me. I'm going to miss her so much. What was going to happen when we leave? Will we stay together in a long distance relationship. I don't know yet.
We walked to the car and got in. I thought that maybe we should do something today.
I should take her on a date. A nice date. I should talk to Nash. He's always good at those kinds of things. Even Cam.
"Um Mrs. Dollett (Holly's mom), can you just drop me Cam and Nash off at the Holiday Inn downtown. We have a meeting with Bert." I winked at cam and Nash so they didn't say anything because I was obviously lying.
"Sure. We'll be there in a few minutes."
Holly gave me a pouty face.
"I'll text you later. We can get together tomorrow. I promise."
"Ok" she said and smiled.
I had an idea of what we could do tomorrow. I just needed some help...
We made it to the hotel and I thanked Mrs. Doullette. I kissed holly on the cheek and made my way into the hotel.
I ran quickly hoping no one would see me. I was luck today. Cam and Nash ran behind me and no one saw them either. We made it to the room and I looked at them.
"Hey guys, I need some help."Holly's POV
I knew something was up with Hayes. He never just leaves without an explanation. He said he would text me later so I would just have to wait. When My family got home, I had to take a shower because I was all sweaty. I took down my hair and jumped into the shower.
When I got out, I just changed into some leggings and a crop top. It's not like I was doing anything today.
I missed Hayes already.
Someone knocked at my room door.
"Come in!" I yelled from my bed.
"Heyyyy there kiddo. I thought maybe we should catch up a little. It's been a while." Mary said walking into my room and jumping onto my bed, ruffling my sheets.
"Great idea. I've missed you so much."
"So how long have you and Hayes been dating?" I rolled my eyes at her.
"About a week. Why?" I asked her.
"Just wondering. You've grown so much since the last time I saw you." She hugged me.
"Why don't we go to the park and talk?"
"Sure" she replied and smiled. Her smile was so perfect. Her teeth were so white and straight. She was just so beautiful.
We made it to the park and jumped up I to the tree where we usually sit.
"So Mary. I'm worried. About Hayes and me. I love him but what's going to happen when he leaves. He's only her for like 2 more weeks... I'm scared. I'm scared of getting hurt." I said to her with a worried look. She always had great advice for me.
"Look, Holly, I can see in your eyes just how much you love him. And I can see it in his eyes. The way he looks at you. You can't let distance get in the way of you two. If you love each other, that's all that should matter."
I looked at her.
"I do love him. But I'm worried it's all going to be too much. Only seeing him through a screen doesn't seem like enough. We have to leave each other. For who knows how long. I don't want to let him go. "
"Holly, it's going to be really hard. But when you really love someone, you let them go. If it's true love, they'll always come back for you.
I could feel tears forming on my eyes. The sun shined through the the green leaves on the tree. A light breeze swept through.
"Don't cry. Please. Everything is going to be ok. I promise you." She said
I nodded and we hopped down from the tree. Tears rolled down my face still, and Mary hugged me.
We walked home and my tears slowed.
"Why don't we have a little girls day today. We can do each others nails and stuff."
"Sounds like fun." I said back to Mary.Mary's POV
Wow. I've never seen Holly this sad. She did really love Hayes. I could see it.
I had to think of a way to cheer her up so I told her we could have a girls day. I wanted her just to forget about everything and just relax. I didn't like seeing her like this.
We got inside, and we both took out our nail kits. She wanted a lime green so I began painting her nails.
I didn't know what to talk about. I was usually really good at advise for her. But I had nothing. This was a bad situation. Harder for her than me.But Cameron was ssoooo cute. He smiled at me today and I got the butterflies. We even sat next to each other at the soccer game. I really like him. He was so sweet.
But back to Holly. She just seemed depressed.
I looked her in the eye.
"Holly, cheer up. I don't like seeing you like this. You might as well spend the next to weeks with him being happy than sit around all depressed. Ok?" I said to her.
She looked at me and smiled.
"I guess your right. Thank you Mar,"
We hugged. And she started my nails.
I was still worried about Holly but I was just trying to do anything I could to put her in a good mood.
