A New Dawn in May

She ambles through the
sweet dusk of summer's
sandalwoods
as she ruminates
throughout the
dew-soaked morning
in silence and stillness

The glistens in her eyes
reflect on her memories
as she pacifies all of
her past enemies

She looks through the looking glass
and knowing that time
will eventually pass

A placid smile grows across her
sun-kissed face
as she picks out her weeds
and keeps the flowers she has
saved

Tearing her old soul
from its mold of clay
and finally opening
her eyes to a new
dawn in May...
