Caitlyn's POV

Hayes came in with a dozen roses and he handed them to me.

"Um thank you" I smiled and Mahogany left

"What is this for" I asked

"Can't a beautiful girl get beautiful roses" he said and I started blushing

"Thank you" I said again and he sat down and we talked for awhile.

Then all of a sudden he kissed me. It lasted for like 2 minutes and I felt sparked the whole time. Then the door burst open and Cameron was standing there.

"Hayes get out" He said and Hayes stayed sitting there

"Hayes I will throw you out of this room" He said and Hayes got up and left and Cameron walked over to me.

"What the hell was that about" I asked

"Did you cut again?" he asked

"No" I said

"Let me see your wrists" He said and I didn't move because I was thinking about something.

All of a sudden Cameron grabbed my arms just like my old abusive mother did and I started remembering the worst of times living in that house.

I pulled my Arms away and pulled my knees to my chest and cried.

"Please don't hurt me" I cried

"You think I was gonna hurt you" he asked and I didn't respond then I felt muscular arms around me

"Caitlyn I would never think about laying a finger on you in a wrong way. You are my little sister I love you and I will always protect you" he said and I kinda pushed him back a little so I could put my legs down but he thought of it as a different way

"I guess I'll just le-" he started until I ran up to him -because he got up and walked to the door- and hugged him

"You grabbed my arms the same way my adopted mom grabbed them and memory's started flowing back mixed with how angry you were got me a little scared.. I know you would never hurt me and I love you too" I said and he picked me up and laid me in the bed

He laid beside me and wrapped his arms around me in a brotherly way and my eyes started to get heavy.

The last thing I remember was Cameron kissing my forehead and saying goodnight. Then I fell into a deep sleep in Cameron's arms.

Cameron's POV

I kissed Caitlyn's forehead and told her goodnight and she fell asleep and my thoughts took over me.

She thought I was going to hit her because of how I had my hands in her arms. I would never think, dream, say, or do anything to hurt her.

She's been through a lot already in her life. And Mahogany told me she seen cuts on her wrist so I thought she cut again.

She never showed me so sense she was asleep I looked at her wrist and they looked recent but it looked like she had done it back in North Carolina..

Anyways my eyes started feeling heavy and I fell asleep with my little sister in my arms.

Man, it feels good to be a big brother...
