The next morning I woke up, being careful not to wake the others up. I went to the bathroom to get ready and when I returned both Maisie and Georgie were getting out of bed.

"I didn't wake you, did I?" I asked.

"No, we're coming on a supporting role" Georgie replied.

As we all left the tent, I boarded the helicopter and 2 section piled into the back of the truck.

Bones, spanner, peanut and I were all in the helicopter and we were closing in on the destination.

"Everyone sure on the plan?" Ollie asked, being answered with a chorus of yeses.

We were now above the compound. He squeezed my arm, before I descended down the rope followed by him. We had landed a few miles off and had to crawl the remainder of the distance in order to keep the element of surprise.

Eventually, we reached the compound. I climbed up the wall, and using the back of my gun broke the glass. I then climbed in followed by Bones, Spanner and Peanut. We swept the upstairs rooms before moving into an office were the targets were. Silently we snuck up behind them and blindfolded them. We managed to remove both targets from the building without being detected.

I stayed behind, gathering as many documents and pieces of information I could from the office. Once I had done this, I silently climbed back out of the window. I followed the route back to where the helicopter was, and where 2 section were standing by. I could hear Georgie speaking to captain James.

"We need to rescue the prisoners" she said.

"Georgie you know we can't" he replied.

"What do your just going to leave them there to die?" She said.

"We have no choice Georgie"

"We always have a choice" she replied, "Send special forces in."

"It's not there job" Charlie replied.

I boarded the helicopter, where all the rest of SF we're waiting.

"You alright?" Ollie asked.

"Yep" I said handing him the documents.

Once we eventually landed back down at the base we were greeted by 2 section who had already returned. Spanner, Ollie and Peanut had already walked off, whilst I was reeling the rope back into the hoist on the helicopter.

"Well done" Charlie said, squeezing my shoulder.

Georgie stormed over to us.

"Your and your lot are a right lot of pricks" she said.

I all stood there slightly confused.

"You could have saved all those innocent people" Georgie said.

"We completed the mission successfully" I replied, trying to walk off.

She pushed my shoulder, forcing back.

"Lane back off!" Charlie said, standing between us.

Georgie stormed off back to the Barack's.

"What's her problem?" I asked Charlie.

"I don't know, I will talk to her" he replied.

"Don't worry about it Charlie" I said.

"If she gives you any more bother, just let me know"

"I will" I replied.

I walked back to the barracks and through my helmet down onto my bed. Georgie was facing the other way but turned around after hearing me.

"You lot are fucking murders" she said.

"Just drop it" I said, too tired to get into an argument.

"You prioritized the murders over innocent people" she continued.

"No, we did what we were told to do, by neutralizing the Taliban it means that they can't hurt more innocent people, yes that's at the cost of those prisoners, but you need to look at the long run" I replied.

"That's the problem with you lot" she said, "your all so fucking dumb"

"I'm the dumb one?" I asked, scoffing.

"Yeah, I mean all special forces are pricks but you really take the biscuit"

"At least I'm trying to make a difference" I replied.

"You'll never amount to anything" she replied.

"Oh and you will?" I countered.

"Go call your mummy" she said.

I turned to leave, looking up I saw Charlie stood in the doorway.

"Lane, my office now" he said.

The evening went on, and I returned to the girls' room.

Georgie soon came in and apologized to me. I could tell it was forced but I didn't care. I wasn't really sure what her problem with me was, as I'd always been nice to her.
