He continued on and on and on again.

I felt like banging my head into a fucking wall at this point.

I looked up as the room got dark, along with his words as he talked about something crumbling into the depths of failure and what not. I don't know, but at this point I just want some damn (f/comfort-eating food). This has been a mentally exhausting day, and I think I deserve some.

I heard Angel start to talk and I side eyed him as poor Charlie was dragged away by the walking radio shack.

"Sooo, uhh, what's the deal with Smiles over there?" He jabbed a finger in the intruder's direction, leaning on the back of the sofa while occasionally checking his nails.

"Wait- you've never heard of him before!? You've been here longer than me!" Vaggie commented, both of them turning to face one another for, what would most likely be, another argument. I went to comment, but decided to ultimately bite my tongue on the matter.

Ignoring them, I grabbed a brush off a crate that was laying around and combed through my tail. Every so often I would pull too hard and I'd end up pulling a shit ton of fur out. I hissed in pain before resulting to combing with my fingers, setting the brush aside.

I listened in on Vaggie's whole dialogue as she spoke about the reign and carnage of the Radio Demon, and how he got his name and what not.

I rolled my eyes before whistling for
(d/n), who had been following the Radio Twizzler out of suspicion and curiosity, hot on his heels. His ears perked up and he trotted over to where I sat at on the floor.

As Vaggies dialogue ended, Angel leaned over in utter boredom. "Ya done?" She glared at him, but he ignored, "He looks like a strawberry pimp!" Vaggie folded her arms, a thick scowl on her face, Well‐ I don't trust him!" Angel gave her a look, "To be fair, do you trust any man? Any men? Men?"

Brushing his comments off, Vaggie ran up to Charlie. "Charlie, listen to me. You can't believe this creep! He isn't just a happy face, he's a deal maker. Pure evil! He can't be redeemed. And is most likely looking for a way to destroy everything we are trying to do."

I finally stood up, dusting myself off as I strolled over. I spoke in a hushed tone, much like Vaggie had, "Yeah, come on Charlie. Vags is right. I mean seriously, do you really want to risk EVERYTHING we've been working towards? Everything we've made progress on??"

Charlie looked at me sadly, "Y/n..we haven't made much progress and I know you know that. I don't have much left to lose. I tried calling mom again. Voice mail. She doesn't even support this anymore...I have to try something. This might be a once in a life time opportunity. And look, I know he's bad and I know he probably doesn't....want to change," she looked over at him as he looked at the family portrait of Lucifer, Lilith, Charlie and me. I never liked looking at that picture. It's always made me feel like the sore thumb, never fitting in properly. I lowered my ears, a soft look overtaking my features as Charlie looked back at me, a sad smile on her face. She knew what I was thinking. She was apologetic with her eyes. "But the whole point of this is to give people a chance, to have faith that things will be better! How can I turn someone away? I can't. It goes against everything I'm trying to do...everything I believe in." She put her right hand on Vaggies left shoulder and her left hand on my right shoulder. "Just trust me. I can take care of myself." She finished softly, smiling gently as she finally got us to listen.
