Chapter 11: Eht Slaitnesse Fo Cigam

"Dinah. There's someone I'd like you to meet." Zatanna said as she enters the room, stepping aside to reveal her guest and Dinah sees a pale skinned boy, wearing a black shirt with white cuffs and collar and a black tie, "Klarion is a good friend and he's here to help with the ritual." Dinah walks up and offer him a hand shake. She asked them how they know each other and Klarion explains as that they met during her tour, they have the same interests and also he caught her doing magic. 

Klarion looks round the study, seen the room filled with candles, a small round table that is under a crystal chandelier.

"So, what is the ritual, that is so important that made you summon me, which made me missed the Hare Moon festival." Klarion asked and Zatanna told him that her father is missing, knowing that he might be in danger and tries to figure out what happen and how to rescue him.

"There's an old celestial ritual we found and it required to be performed during the full moon at midnight." then hand him a book with a page of the ritual and then Klarion finally gets it, he told them that the ritual requires the Essentials of Magic.

"There are three Essentials of Magic, time, feeling and phases of the moon," the Witch Boy explained, "midnight on the night of the full moon is the most powerful time of the month and also the best time to perform powerful arcane spells." 

Then he asked Zatanna why she summoned him, she told him that the ritual is a Soul Transference Spell, to switch bodies with anyone around the world or realms and it requires two practitioners, but there is one thing that Zatanna was hoping that Klarion would do and that is, if he is willing to temporary switch body with her father, so that she can to talk to him.

Klarion did recall that a tranference is a very tricky type of spell and can only performed on the night of the great cosmic events, would make since that the night of the Essentials of Magic would bring success to the ritual, but he didn't expected that she would asked him to willingly switched body with her father like in the style of 'Freaky Friday', but he knows that her father means so much to her.

"I hear ya." he said with compassion, he would do the same thing, of course he too lost someone, until he found out that he's alive and trapped somewhere in hell, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to get him out, then Klarion let out a sigh and said,

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get ready." Zatanna smiled knowing he wouldn't let her down. She and Klarion memorized the incantation, they sat at the round table, Zatanna placed a photo of her father and his pocket watch, every candle is lit and Dinah switched off the lights. 

Then Zatanna asked Dinah that if she could leave the room, so she can have alone time with her father, Dinah understands completely, she wished them luck and left the room, sliding the doors closed. 

1 minute till midnight, Klarion did reminded her that he can speak backwards, but use it to cast spell and Zatanna told him that once they combined their energies, he'll be able to do it. 10 seconds to go,

"Are you ready?" Klarion asked, Zatanna nodded, feeling her heart pounding, "Okay," Klarion said, "lets begin." then they joined hand, they both closed their eyes, the grandfather strucked 12 and they began the ritual. 

"We gather here at the mystic hour, to join together our inner power. Open the door to the otherside, send the one to be our guide. Take this body as your host, we call upon you, John Zatara."

Then a ray of moon light shines down on them through the crystal chandelier, then a gentle gust of wind blowing around them and they can feel the energy rushing in their body, they're still in focus on their intension and they kept on chanting,

"Ew rehtag ereh at eht citsym ruoh, ot nioj rehtegot ruo renni rewop. Nepo eht rood ot eht edisretho, dnes eht eno ot eb ruo ediug. Ekat siht ydob sa rouy tsoh, ew llac nopu uoy, nhoj arataz."

The light got so bright, Klarion fling his head back, then as the ray of moon light fades away, Klarion's head fell forward and Zatanna hope that if the ritual works. Then Klarion slowly lifts his head, looking around him like he doesn't know where he is, but when he looks at Zatanna, he almost look like he's going to cry and said,

"Zara." Zatanna eyes began to tear up, cause the only person who calls her that is her father, "Daddy?!" she cried, he nods silently, then they both got up and ran to each other and give a big hug. 

"I missed you so much." Zatanna said crying in his arms, then John looked into the mirror above the fireplace, he see not himself, but a young boy that he is familair with,

"Zara, why am I inside Kyle's body?" and she replied, saying that Kyle is a Witch Boy named Klarion and she told him that he helped her to perform a Soul Transference Spell, to switch their bodies, so she can asked what happen to him and how to save him. John let out a sigh, he told her that her that he isn't in danger and he doesn't need any saving. Zatanna was confussed, she asked him where was he and why did he disappeared.

"I did it for you." he said, "Maybe it is best if I show you.", John maybe in Klarion's body, but he can still use his magic, cause magic is part of the soul, he lifts his hand, said the incantation,

"Wohs Reh Ym Yenruoj!" and with a snap of his fingers, Zatanna's rolled back and sees what happen to her father.
