Resonating Blood Tie

“You went ahead and took Ruby…” Yuuzel said, menacingly at her.

“Contraire, I think she deliberately went on her own…” Ivy snickered.

     Yuuzel’s eyes, ears, all his senses…even the lingering taste of my blood on his tongue, for some reason, I was also experiencing the same. But I know for a fact that I was being cared for by my mother. I was lying on her lap and I could fell mom’s hands as she wiped back some of my hair from my forehead and remove the dirt from my closed eyelids. But at the same time, I was also looking at Ivy and I also felt the monstrous anger that ranged in my chest…wait. Even If Ivy did that to me I wouldn’t be this angry. Sure she’s Errzabeth’s vampling and she led me to this but she was still my friend. So this isn’t my anger I am feeling, but Yuu’s? What the heck is going on?

‘It’s called Blood Tie.’

   Yuu?

    I heard and felt my throat tremble a little as I moaned in my sleep. I was sleeping so this could only be a dream, right?

‘No. You are in my consciousness as much as I am in yours. Blood Tie means we are bound together for as long as you are this near me.’ He said. But he was there with Ivy. Is he speaking inside my mind?

‘Yes.’

‘Woah. Ok.’

‘Ruby, please bear with it for a while. I’ll only take a couple of minutes to rid of her ---‘

    Ivy attacked first, bearing her fangs at him. A strong wind current lashed at him but he was able to stand it this time.

“Puny vampling…I will make you understand what’s it like to face a true Vampire Noble.” He said.

    I felt the incredible warm energy that curdled within his bowels. The heat completely enveloped his entire body. It was like being set in flame.

   Yuuzel only had to make a hand gesture on Ivy’s direction and that part of the ground ignited. He did this a few more times, aiming at Ivy.

“Slow…” Ivy said, dodging each attack.

“Then how about this?” Yuuzel raised both his arms and made a circle of fire around Ivy.

     Ivy fought back and tried extinguishing the flames by using the wind again. Idiot. Wind would only enflame the fires around her. What the heck was she thinking?

   Yuuzel chuckled. Or I think I felt him chuckle inside my head…

‘I thought so too…You’re friend is not so smart isn’t she?’ he said.

 ‘No. But please go easy on her. She tried to kill me but I still won’t forget the times …

“…The times we spent together…Ivy!” I called out, finding that I could stand up again. She was an idiot, who had little care of other things beside her own line of thinking. She was an idiot who always made noise in the corridors even when I tell her that it was unnecessary and annoying. But we laughed together, gossiped, and made fun of each other…Even if she wanted to hurt me, I still won’t forget.

“Ruby, stay back. Yuuzel can handle it.”

“I know. I know…” Even now, I can feel Yuuzel’s own power surging through me as if they were my own. I could still feel all that he was sensing and that anger about to break loose.

‘Let me sanctify her…’ I said.

     I don’t know how but I was also able to communicate with him like this. I felt him sigh.

‘Ok…If that is what you deem right…my blood princess’ he replied.

   I smiled back to him, or actually gave him that feeling of being smiled at.

“Ivy…” I said again, making my way beside Yuu. “Will you let me Sanctify you?”

“Enough! I already told you there is nothing there for me…!” she protested.

      I took out the black vial that mom gave me. The white one encased holy water while this had the ash needed to make a sanctity circle.

“Yuu can you make the flames die down a bit?”

    Yuu nodded. The fires decreased and I drew the circle surrounding Ivy inside with the flames. Next was the trinity star. Ivy kept lashing at me during the entire time, but each time she would attempt an attack at me, Yuu would intensify the flames on that spot.

“Done.” I announced the prayer next…

“May God’s hand and God’s wrath, bring justice on your bloody path. And may the Lord’s sword and the Lord’s bow strike you where you stand… May the Dark Realm weep for you … May they cower in fear…As I beckon the Angel of Death here.”

    I felt Yuuzel slightly react with the prayer.

‘Sorry’ I apologized. Yuuzel responded by giving me the feeling of being hugged. ‘Hey, ok distance!’ I retorted.

‘You forget…we are a meter away and I’m not even touching you…’ he said.

   Oh yeah. Blood Tie is pretty dangerous huh?

“Rubes…” Ivy said, reaching out her hand.

“Watch out Ruby it might be a trap.” Yuu held my hand immediately.

“Rubes…I’m scared…” she sobbed.
