09:Hello...Amber?

 + Hello…Amber? +

“Amber???” I gawked.

         I looked down on my torso and held myself. No I was still there…My feet were still there…My arms were still there…so was my head…So why was I also standing there over the passageway – wearing a dress, no less? This is really getting weird.

“Yes it’s me…How have you been?” I – I mean, she walked past the principal and straight to Yuuzel.

     Yuuzel didn’t respond at first but after a while, as she held him, he began to move his arms up and into an embrace around her small body.

     Ok…this was freaking weird…seeing myself hugging him over there yet knowing for sure that, that wasn’t me. I was here. He was there – with her.

“Oh and don’t think I’ve forgotten you, Master Joseff” she smiled, and there never was an even more feministic smile in the entire world or the entire underworld.

“Amber. Is that really you?” Yoh asked.

     She was still under Yuu’s left arm as she talked so freely with them. They had their backs on me and that was probably the thing that hurt most right now. I felt I was being left out again.

“Yes, yes, dear Joseff. It is me. I have been meaning to contact you two since…I don’t know when…but I had not the means to find you.”

    Yoh was stunned as well but Yuuzel didn’t seem to have any problems adjusting to the new situation as much as I did. Yoh looked at me, our eyes met and in an instant he must’ve known what I was feeling. So he walked to my side and placed an arm round my shoulder as well.

“This is Ruby, by the way…She is our dear friend in the school.” He smiled.

“Friend? Oh.” Amber said, still clinging around Yuuzel’s waist.

     The nerve?

“Yeah.” I said, trying to be prim and cold as ice as much as I could. “Friends.”

     I looked at Yuu who was still staring solidly at Amber’s head as she clearly had no plans of ever getting herself out of his reach.

    Wait. If Amber is alive then does this mean…?

“You’re also a vampire?” I blurted out.

     The person I was referring to straightened her back and smiled ever so graciously, showing a glint of two front fangs that were so small they were almost unnoticeable.

“So that time, with Errzabeth…you actually…” Yuuzel questioned her this time, finally getting out of his trance.

“Yes, fortunately, I was. But when I rose from the sarcophagus you had lovingly placed me in, I had found that you were no longer there…”

     Lovingly? O someone please gag me….

“Oh I was so afraid, Yuuzel…I did not know anyone and I was too scared to go back to the convent.”

   Amber reached a hand towards the side of his jaw. And they made a scene straight out of one of those romantic movies with the ocean and splashing water on the background.

    How pretty… How nice... So nice I could whack his jaw off with a jackhammer!

“It’s alright now…I am here.” He said, placing a palm over hers.

    And they stared at each other for the longest time…

   …Puke…

“Come with me to Transylvania…all the Elders wish for you to take your proper seat in the council.”
