Pretend Crush

Chapter 3

It was the last class of the day and all of us were itching to get out. "One...two...three..." The boys were all counting the seconds on when the bell would ring. "Man this is taking forever~" Maya groaned as we agreed. Then finally.

Ring!!!

"Yes!" The class cheered while the teacher just rolled her eyes.
"Okay class you may go out now"

The teacher said as she pointed towards the door as students ran out. Today wasn't so tiring nor stressful but it was very boring. Before we went home we would gather together for a quick study session. Since exams are near me and the girls decided we would study together after school.  Me, Valerie, Cassie, and Maya were all seated at Sir Ricardo's classroom. Katelyn couldn't join in since her parents have called her to come home. So it was only the 4 of us. We would always gather at Sir Ricardo's room because he is willing to help us on our studies especially on math and since he was very good at math we accepted his offer.

We were all studying for this upcoming quiz and finishing our homework until Sir Ricardo gave an announcement.
"Okay girls someone will be joining with us today. Im pretty sure you all known him" he said with a smile as he welcome our new "study buddy" with a hug. We couldn't see him properly since Sir Ricardo was tall. He finally separated with the boy and I saw him. "Girls, welcome Enzo!" He said as the blonde tall boy waved at us shyly. We waved back and welcomed him. We weren't intimidated he was here but we were curious on why.
"What are you doing here, Enzo?" Valerie asked as she was tapping her pen. "My mom sent me here. Apparently i need serious help on my math" he said as he sighed. "How serious?" Cassie asked a bit concerned yet curious. "E- serious" he said frustrated. "Geez, well you came to the right place! Sir Ricardo will make you good at math" Maya said as she tapped Enzo's back. He just nodded as he turned to look at me as our eyes met. "Hi" i said.   "Hey" he said not breaking eye contact. I was nervous so i broke it instead. He didn't gave off any reaction. I mean, was he supposed to? 21 minutes have passed and me and the girls were playing rock paper scissors. Cassie kept on winning while Valerie kept on lossing. She was starting to get frustrated so she called Enzo. "Hey Enzo, wanna join?" Val asked him while he just nod and smiled. He took a seat next to me, he was still tall even when were just sitting. Then the game resumed for 15 minutes. I suddenly kept on lossing to Enzo as he teased me for it. "Your really bad at this, Akira" he smirked as i puffed my cheeks. "Im not bad at this! Your just lucky that luck is on your side!" I said as I grew mad yet my anger died down and laughter came when he made a face i couldn't quite understand. "What the heck!?" We both laughed as the girls were confused. They were on their own world while me and Enzo was on ours. We kept on laughing as the girls laughed as well when Enzo made the face again. As i was laughing i took a glance at Enzo and observed his face. We were classmates for 2 years but we weren't that close. Oh but how i wished i could have observed him sooner. I noticed how cute he actually was. I have heard some girls talking about how good looking he was back then but i would just ignore it. I wasn't that interested in boys back then but listening to my friends being interested on them and having crushes on their own I started to grew interested in them as well. Then it struck me. I was looking for my own "crush" wasn't I? Enzo's the perfect guy. I mean his not perfect but his perfect for my pretend crush. His good looking, funny and he seems to be nice.

Well well well, looks like i found my guy.

I smirked in my mind as we all packed our things and left the classroom. It was now Valerie and I as we were walking out of the gate. Cassie's ride had came and Maya would ride all the way home with her since they were neighbors. Val was neighbors with them as well but she get car sick sometimes so she prefers to take the bus instead. As we were walking i wanted the girls to talk about me when they would talk about their crush so i told Valerie about mine. "Hey Val.." I said as I looked at her. "Yeah, what's up bae?" Val said with her question face.

"I think i have a crush on Enzo.."
