-passing years-♡
Two years has passed and we graduated with flying collars. We were now in the eleventh grade, our first year in senior high school. This is going to be tough and rough. But we're going to manage.Me and my friends separated but we're still connected. Not all the time though. I also have my share of friends but I didn't stick to a friend group. Valerie went to study at her mom's old school although it was old it was still a decent and a good school were many successful business men and women graduated. Cassie went to this prestigious school were she had gotten a scholarship at, Maya went to Los Angeles with her sister, while Katelyn and I both went to New York but studied at different schools.
Everything went well, I focused hard on my studies and was a part of the top 10 in my class. I rejected any boy that came near me because I didn't want to have any distractions even though my mom was already fine with the idea of me having a boyfriend. But nonetheless, I still refused. My best friend Valerie wasn't thrilled that I was rejecting the opportunity of having a boyfriend but I just think she just wanted to have a double date with me as she'd stop talking about her boyfriend and how'd she'd complain about not having a love life of my own. The thought made me remember the times back in junior high, specifically when we were in 9th to 10th grade. The thought of those memories cringes me yet it puts a smile to my face. Not to mention a random curse when I remembered a detailed cringe memory out of nowhere.
Finally spring break has arrived and I laid in my couch tired as heck. I just finished half of my school work and projects that are teacher asked us. I rest my poor eyes and seconds later I dozed off. I woke up to my phone buzzing, I was to lazy and tired so I ignored it. But somehow it wouldn't stop so I picked up not looking who the caller was.
"Hello?"
I said in a sleepy voice, indicating I was to tired to chat.
"AKIRAAA!!"
The squeal and shout of my name from the other side of the phone threw my ears out of my apartment as my eyes widened. I checked who the caller was along with the time. The caller was Valerie, my best friend and it was around 11:27 AM. How long had I been asleep!?
"Hello??"
"Val?"
"Oh great your still alive! I've been messaging you, why didn't you reply back?"
"Oh..I was asleep.."
"Ahh make sense, anyways since spring break is out I was maybe thinking that we should reunite with the girls!"
My eyes widened with delight and a smile grew to my face.
"Thats a great idea, Val!"
"I know right?"
For the past 3 hours we kept talking none stop about school, boys and our upcoming reunion of our friend group.
"Hey Aki, I gotta go now ok? I'll talk to you later. Byee" Valerie said as she ended the call. I smiled and clasped the phone to my chest, I was so happy at the fact I had a talk with my best friend. And I truly can't wait to meet the others. It was around 2:38 and I decided to take a walk and buy myself a snack. I put on some decent clothes and get my scarf and coat along with my keys and left.
