I have no idea why, but ever since the day I fixed their mother's piano they started spoiling me more. Is it their way of saying thank you? Or were they diagnosed with a fatal disease and have only a few weeks to live? I guess we'll never know. I was in the middle of arranging my sheet music and other piano books. Yiru was busy playing with his new toy I recently bought. "Diana~" Trevor cooed in an annoying way. I looked in his direction and raised my eyebrow. "Anything ya need?" I asked. He shook his head vigorously. "I just came by to drop these off." After smiling at me and patting Yiru's head, Trevor made his way home.
Opening the box, I saw a bundle of books from my favorite authors such as VE Schwab, Leigh Bardugo and Victoria Aveyard. There I found Memories and Lullabies by Lang Leav too. I love her poems. Making my way to the library upstairs I saw Yiru following behind. I scanned my "To read"section and started organizing it. While arranging the shelf I heard a knock on the library door. Facing the doorway, there stood Dominique with a bag full of snacks. "We're about to binge watch some anime. Wanna join us?" I couldn't say no to that invitation. Free snacks while watching anime is always the way to go. "Sure. Let me just place the last of the books in their places." Dom let out an understanding nod and sat on the chair, waiting for me to finish.
Now, I sat comfortably on their sofa, watching the brothers bicker over what anime to watch. "I say we watch Tokyo Revengers." Trevor suggested. But Dom retorted in displeasure. "No. We're watching Jujutsu Kaisen." "Why don't we just watch 'I Want To Eat Your Pancreas' I haven't watched that movie yet" Trevor and Dominique looked at each other and nodded in approval. They sat down and played the movie. Unfortunate for us, we forgot to grab boxes of tissues.
In the midst of the movie Trevor was already sobbing. Dom was completely puzzled and didn't know what to do. He got up and rushed to get tissues while I just curled up into a ball. Dom came back with tissues and the tub of ice cream with spoons. He also barged into my house to grab Yiru. We gobbled up the sweet dessert, tasting a bit of saltiness from our tears. Yiru was snuggled underneath the blanket beside me.
After crying a river, we settled on playing games for a moment since we may not be able to move on from the movie just yet. We didn't want to sit around all day fighting because of monopoly so Uno was the way to go. "Plus 4" Dom said as he placed the card down. I rejoiced while Trevor whined. I offered Dom a high five which he took without hesitation. Trevor was now rolling on the floor complaining as to why we bully him on a daily basis. Our answer? It's fun and entertaining. Who needs Getflix when you have a funny man child right? "Should we go for a spin?" Dom suggested. "To where?" Trevor said in a whiny tone with a pout on his face. "Mczonald's" With that simple word, Trevor and I ran to the doorway and put on our shoes. Dom face palmed and grabbed the keys.
"I'M SITTING IN THE FRONT SEAT~" Trevor said in a sing-song manner. 'NO! ME!'We fought over the front seat but Dom pinched our ears causing us to halt. "Just play rock-paper-scissors." He demanded. We did as he said but sadly I lost. I opened the door to the back seat and got in with a scowl on my face.
We chatted on our way to the fast food chain. "Haruki reminds me of Dom." "I second that." Trevor said. "And who doesn't know 'The Little Prince'? Like seriously. That's like every bookworm's favorite book." Trevor nodded as we made a swift turn to the drive thru. "Unless they're like me who prefers dark stuff, but the little prince is a good book too. I cannot lie." I added. Studying the menu, we saw exciting new toys in the happy meal. "GUYS LOOK! SING 2! AND JURASSIC PARK-" Pure excitement was evident from my voice. "Oh God. Aren't you guys like- 22 and 18?" Dom sighed "OH MY PRECIOUS BUT ANNOYING LITTLE BROTHER- you're never too old for happiness in a box." Trevor retorted.
"Good afternoon, welcome to Mczonald's. What can I get for you?" The voice behind the speaker "Yeah. We'll have 4... *sigh* 6 happy meals and a cheeseburger." Dom ordered and we childish people danced in our seats. "Ok sir and what would you like with the happy meals?" The employee asked again ."I want Ash, Calloway, the Ankylosaurus and T-rex too." I announced. "I want Gunter and Johnny." Trevor requested. "Yeah. We'll take that." "Alright sir. Everything is checked. Next window please."
We rolled to window two then Walmart Dominique Toretto confronted us. "Y'all got money for your hApPiNeSs In A bOx?" Trevor and I let out a dramatic, offended gasp. "GOOD SIR- DO YOU THINK THAT WE'RE BROKE!?!?" The tired mom of 2 adults and a dog rolled his eyes to our drama. I completely forgot about Yiru sitting peacefully beside me because of the toys. We're gonna need to keep the delicious food away from him later. We whipped out our wallets because we came here to drop some money, droppin all our money.
When we finally got our yummy emotional support food. We headed back to the brother's humble kingdom and munched to our heart's desire. "She reminds me so much of mom." Dom said "Yeah, me too." The brothers had a little conversation behind my back but I was too busy with the food. I fed a nugget to Yiru and he licked my hand as a thank you. "Mom would've enjoyed hanging out with her." "I bet they'd play piano together." Dom continued, "That would've been awesome and beautiful. Maybe we should just make space for her piano here so Diana can play whenever she wants." The brothers agreed to that but left to do the task for later to have a nice meal with their lively and carefree much like a caprice neighbor.
