"Jesus, ow," I heard a yelp outside in the hallway so I decided to go out and check what was going on. Once I got outside I almost tripped over myself, the girl there was the prettiest thing. I hid behind the door and watched as she picked her things up. I should've probably gone out to help her, but I'm sure that getting close to her and having to interact with her would make me drop more boxes than not. Once she finally finished picking up her things, she glanced back to her room key and turned to where I was. Me being me, slammed the door shut and laid against the door, hoping she hadn't seen me or the door; and even better, that she wasn't rooming with me at all.

Seconds later I heard a knock on the door. Cursing under my breath I slowly opened the door, and of course, she was there. She gave me a small grin and then made a nod inside. I stared at her for a few seconds before moving aside and letting her in. She walked inside, holding two boxes. She glanced at the two doors leading to separate rooms and then turned back to me, before saying "So, which room is mine?"

"Oh! The one to the right, I left the bigger room to you because I felt bad taking it," I could feel my face heating up completely. I answered her, but I'm sure she could tell how flustered I was. She nodded and then headed into the room, and closed the door. I took in a few breaths and then went back into my room.

Once 4 PM reached, I decided to head to the kitchen and have a snack. I closed my door, and once I finally reached the kitchen, I saw her there. Her hair was up and she was wearing an oversized hoodie. I felt my face heat up again, yet all I could do was watch her shuffle things around.

"If you take a picture, maybe this view will last you longer," She turned, holding a cup of coffee. This, of course, made my face heat up even more. I wanted to protest, however I doubt I could change her mind about what I had been doing.

"Sorry, I was just surprised you were out here," I walked to one of our shelves and reached for a bag of lays. I hesitated a little before grabbing another one and silently offering it to her. She stared at the bag for a few seconds and then took the bag, offering me a small smile before she once again left for her room. I stared at where she had been and then turned.

After finishing the snack, I felt an immense feeling of boredom looming over me. Deciding I had nothing better to do, I put on a jacket and headed to the front of the front door. I shuffled my shoes on quickly and then left, making sure to lock the door. I reached the outside of the doors and felt the warm summer air hit my face. I felt thankful I had brought a thin jacket because of how friendly the outside felt. While walking I texted my friend, Tino, to wait for me outside his dorm building. Reaching the outside of the building, I saw him out there.

I giggled as I reached him, he stretched his arms out for me and I rushed into them. Pulling me inside, I glanced up at him. "Did I surprise you? I got bored so I decided to head over here," I said, moving my eyes back to the hallway.

"Nah, it's okay, I don't mind. My roommate moved in as well. His name is Finn. He seems pretty cool, we talked for a while," He said, pressing the button to his floor on the elevator. We waited and then reached his room.

We reached the door and quickly slipped our shoes off. We moved to the sitting area and chatted for a little. We both heard the door open, Tino glanced up but I stayed focused on the movie.

"Oh, hey Finn. This is my best friend, Gaby." Tino said, poking me to turn around, I told him to hold on a second, as the screen displayed a fight scene.

"Ah, Hey! I-" I turned around as he spoke and he froze up. He stared at me for a few seconds before re-composing himself. " I'm Finn, I'm 21, and I'm studying Liberal arts."
