I woke up at around 9 am, I could already hear V in the kitchen, which made me smile. Tuesdays were my most class-heavy days (and I heard over the month that it was the same case for V), so I would have to be ready to be out almost all day. As I finished getting ready I checked my phone and noticed multiple texts from the group chat. I read through them as I packed up my backpack, the general note was that everyone (Including V) had agreed to go do karaoke later tonight. I sighed, realizing that I wouldn't have time to just relax after class. I messaged back that I was also free to go.

I left my room and found V having coffee, which meant there would be a coffee cup ready for me as well. "Good morning, how'd you sleep?" I asked as I reached for my coffee.

"I slept okay, clearly not much better than you. How do you manage to have so much energy so early in the day?" V asked, turning her phone and then turning her body to look at me.

"I don't have that much energy, but I am in a good mood, which makes it better to get through the day." I smiled at her, and she shrugged. We finished off and then headed to campus together.

This had been our routine now, we would walk together until we reached the art building, and then I would make my way to the fashion building. The school was fairly big, so while her class started at 10 am, mine was at 10:30, and most of the time I only made it with 15 minutes to spare. Once I made it to my seat, I started to draw some sketches. We were now in the process of learning how to make "the perfect pair of jeans," which didn't mean the perfect pair of jeans, it was more of 'the perfect pair of jeans in your view.' I had drawn up four sketches, so I would be ready to pair one with my model once we were assigned it.

The class went by smoothly, only a reminder that our models would be coming next. I had around 30 minutes until my next class, so I took my time packing up. As I was doing that, I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned and found Eunjin. Eunjin was a more edgy designer, he incorporated lots of metals and bold cuts. I liked it and it did suit him, the face piercings and new colored hair every week spoke for it as well.

"Rumor has it that the next challenge will be a duo thing, I figured since our aesthetics are kind of opposite we would make a good team" He informed it, quietly, as though he wanted to make sure nobody else had the heads up.

I thought about it for a second, I could tell his work took extreme effort, so I knew he wouldn't slack. I nodded up at him, "That would be great, do you know what it's going to be?"

"Probably some couple bullshit, I know for sure it's two models though'' He shrugged and looked down at his phone, "Here, give me your Instagram so we can text." I did so and then said my goodbyes. I walked around the building for a second before making my way to my next class.

The rest of the day went by fairly fast, I had managed to get done with most of the small projects that I needed to. I reached home, noting that V wasn't there yet, so I decided to get ready. Karaoke would be fun with the friend group, especially with the new person that would be joining us. As I started to get ready I heard the front door open. I made a note of it before continuing to get ready.

Once l finished I made my way over to V's room. Her door was open so I leaned against it. "Ready for karaoke?"

"I will be in a few," V looked up from her mirror and smiled a bit. I noticed she had added a dark shimmer to her eyes, it was pretty, I wasn't used to seeing her with makeup; it looked pretty on her, and it made her eyes darker, like a siren.

"Yeah, no worries, we have time," I moved over and sat on her bed as she finished her makeup. I looked around, the room looked nicely decorated, she had a pretty tapestry above her desk, and the rest of the room had posters, all that matched obviously. Her room looked clean but still lived in it. I looked back at her, "Soo, I didn't know you liked karaoke."

"Hm, it's not exactly my thing, but I wanted to hang out with the group again," She looked back at me, "Although after what happened when we went bowling maybe it's a bad idea."

We both laughed a bit before standing up and made our way out. The rest of the group was waiting by the parking lot so we could separate into the cars. Thankfully, me being one of the main drivers of the group meant that I could choose who would come with me, so I had V with me; unfortunately, Tino had already claimed the passenger seat.

We made it to the place, the other car having made it first so we had a room reserved already. Everyone had chosen songs already so all that was left was getting food and drinks. V, Hanna, and Wes went off to get drinks. Seconds after they left Tino came up to me.

"So, you and V have been spending some alone time huh?" He winked at me, causing me to blush but I rolled my eyes anyways.

"Well, we are roommates so '' I grumbled slightly. I knew what he was implying, but that didn't mean that I was going to admit it so easily.

He gave me a look, I shrugged and he sighed. "Gaby, c'mon now, I know you better than anyone else, be real with me.

"I don't know what to tell you, we're friends." I laughed and shoved him a bit.

He looked like he was going to say something again, but the three had returned. I smiled, I knew that he would question me about this later as well, but for no,w I had gotten away.

We started the night with Wes and Jennie giving a very dramatic performance of "My Heart Will Go ON'' by Celine Dion. The night continued this way, our friends finding the stupidest shit there was and giving a performance and a half. Two hours in (and with no sign of slowing down) I noticed Danni hadn't gone to perform anything, so I went up to her.

"Have anything planned to surprise us?" I asked and took a sip of my drink.

She laughed and leaned back, stretching her arm on the back of the seat, "Not really," She looked over at me, "what about you? Your cover of BoomBoom made me want to hear more."

We both laughed at this, "How about a duet then? That way we can both make fools of each other." She thought about it for a second before nodding.

"Deal, but I get to pick the song, and it's gonna be a surprise." She stood up and went to write us down for the next slot. I giggled to myself before going to get us more drinks.

I got to the snack bar and sat on my phone while I waited for the man behind the bar to come to me. I looked up and noticed that it was Eunjin. He turned and looked at me, smiling (maybe, smirking?) before walking over.

"Either this is some crazy coincidence or you're stalking me," He said as he leaned over the bar, I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"Coincidence... probably," I shrugged and we both laughed a bit, "You work here?"

He raised an eyebrow and looked down at his name tags, "Nah, I just like serving people." We both stayed quiet for a while, "I mean like, you know-"

"Yeah, yeah. Uhm, anyways. I'll do 3 sprites, 1 fanta, 1 lemonade, and 3 cokes, please" I said as he was stabilizing himself, he nodded and left without another word.

"Alright, 3 sprites, 3 cokes, 1 Fanta, and 1 lemonade. There you are, that'll be 37.50" He put the tray of drinks down, I paid and we both said our goodbyes.

Finally, about 30 minutes later, Danni and I were up. Once we got up there, a song started playing, this song was "Love is an Open Door." I Shot Danni a bewildered look but she had already started on Anna's part. I had no choice but to follow. The song performance went well, for some reason I was expecting some rock song, not whatever this was. Thankfully, the song came to an end and V started laughing.

"Why so shocked? I can have a little fun," She winked at me, which of course left me even more confused, mainly flustered though.

"I mean, yeah, fair enough," We handed the mics to the next duet before going to sit down.

We sat watching Kim and Layla for a while, occasionally cheering before V turned to me. "I'm looking forward to the school year with this friend group."

I smiled at her, "Me too, especially now that I have someone else who's single," I looked away, even though her eyes were still on me. This would be a good year.
