Halloween Episode

I woke up to the sound of my phone going off. I sighed as I reached over to grab it. "GABY! Are you ready to go!!" I shot up at that. Today, Saturday, October 31st, at 4 am. My group and I were taking a road trip to Mina's hometown. Halloween parties were supposedly the best there.

"Uh, yeah, yeah I'm ready. See you guys in the parking lot at 10?" I asked, glancing at my half-packed suitcase. I started to get up to at the very least get dressed.

"Yep, see you then." He hung up and I quickly went into rushing mode. I'm not quite sure what happened in those 10 minutes of me packing, getting an outfit, and doing my skincare and my makeup, but I managed to get to the parking lot, 4 minutes late, but I was at least there before half of the group.

V smiled at me before turning to help Tino put their luggage into his truck. I moved over to leave my things there as well before going to stand by Kim. "You look tired," She said, looking me up and down.

"Really cuz I feel great," I laughed and started to stretch, "My alarm didn't ring and I didnt hear V leave."

She made a sound like she wanted to acknowledge me but didn't want to respond. Both of us were on our phones now, and the rest of the group was making it.

I guess this would be a good time to introduce everyone. Our group consisted of a total of fourteen people (yeah... I know). The original seven were Me, Tino, Kim, Wes, Markus, Layla, and Mac. Almost everyone was dating someone in the group, Kim and Jessie, Wes and Hanna, Markus and Aaron, Layla and Minnie, and Mac with Erika. Then Tino and Mina had some on-and-off things. The whole thing was weird and way too complicated, but I guess it worked.

"Okay, there are four cars, me, Gaby, Mac, and Aaron. Let's get the full car to be Aaron and mine since they're the biggest," Tino yelled out once we all got there. The groups were then sorted off. I ended up with V (thankfully), Wes, and Hanna. We smiled at each other and made our way over.

Once the drive began, everyone but me fell asleep. It was alright, it would be a long drive, so I would need them to be up and with energy later on so that they could entertain me. The way to Mina's town was pretty nice. There was so much natural beauty that even the fastest route could be considered a scenic one. About two hours into the eight-hour drive, V woke up. She stretched for a while before looking at me.

"Hey, how much longer do we have?" She asked me to move my phone so that she could change the music.

"Six more hours, pretty sure we're going to stop in an hour so that we can get some food," I answered, I glanced at the back seat, the two were still knocked out. "Sleep okay?"

"About as well as you can in a car, well, maybe better, it's more comfortable when you trust the person driving." She said as she pulled her phone out, I blushed a little but tried to stay focused on what I was doing.

I nodded before realizing she wasn't looking at me, "Yeah, I get it. Uh, it'll be fun to have all fourteen people under one roof. Oh, before I forget, I told Mina that I and you would be okay sleeping in the second living room- which by the way, she has a second living room! But uh, yeah, she said that she'll have an air mattress ready for us and whatever."

"Sounds good," she interrupted herself with a yawn, "Wake me up when we get to the breakfast place, please"

I didn't answer as she fell asleep pretty quickly after that. The rest of the drive was pretty cool. We had an alright breakfast before getting back on the road. Finally, after a very long drive we managed to make it into the town, and best of all, the house. Mina had a huge house, and best of all her family was gone for some fancy fundraiser. Pretty quickly we were led to our rooms. When me and V got to the living room we froze.
