keep me warm

While I stare through this hole in the floor,

Where you vanished,

I can't see you anymore.

Is this the end,

Or will you come back again?

Tears,

I drown,

I push through the crowd,

Hoping just to see you smile again.

If I let you go,

Would you remember me?

My heart feels so heavy with the weight of who I use to be.

An uneven heartbeat,

Bare feet slap the ground,

We wander alone,

With no where to go.

Take me some where nice,

Because I am so afraid.

Take me away from here,

Where someone will appreciate seeing my face.

The darkness encloses,

And I shiver,

But not for long,

As you have come back,

And you keep me warm.
