Changes of Dynamics

That summer was a blast, of getting know the eclectic mix of friends Lili have had.

Henry and Harold have turned eighteen, and they were the first to do so. The first born twin was gifted a car by his parents, and so does the other. Parents often deny the fact they have no favourites, perhaps it is true. But among siblings, and surely among twins - they can feel it.

As we saw that Lili can be fun, by seeing her friends Grogan and Matt, both of whom enjoy underground parties of some sort. Heard their stories about trying to score a hooker in Manila, that never became successful. It is funny to think how people say hookers are easy to get, but even that can be a fantasy.

They seem to be the opposite league of the twins, pampered kids of tradition, at least fifth generation money. In contrast to Grogan and Matt, came from newly emerged money.

That summer visit of Lili's friends made Henry gunshy to asking her out officially.

Meanwhile Harold was more amused to see Lili's fun side, and that her former crush wanted to be a rockstar. For the first time, Lili was invited to Pauline and Harold's adventure. That's pretty much how Lili saw some of the universities she wanted to apply, by going to gigs in the evenings.

For Fiona and Henry who remained undisturbed and undistracted, knew the importance of year 12 - it's their time to mould themselves in to medicine as for Henry in to Oxford.

Year 12 was also very important for me, as I did always intend to study in USA - following the successes of my older brother.

The year went slow as the group have seemed to have broken up. Different subjects for us. Fiona's subjects were all sciences and maths. Lili's were more traditional and hard humanities. Henry's were mix of both science and traditional humanities, same as mine. Harold and Pauline were just modern and soft humanities of sociology, politics and anthropology.

'Hey,' Henry caught Lili's attention as she was perusing over Wittgenstein's Philosophy.

'Would you want to come to Merton with me?'

'I prefer Christchurch or Corpus Christi,' she smiled back and read further.

Lili never knew the magnanitude of Henry's lovesickness.

Henry is after all saving himself, even when it is the time of one's life where gonads are overactive. Surely his twin is not going to waste his time away for such.

Fiona knew of Henry's attraction towards Lili, even when she's starting to feel much curiousity and energy to wanting to try humping him down. Sparing her own feelings, she just ignored Henry and see him as friend respecting both parties.

As the solid five, became six. The dynamics have changed a bit. Those "interesting" former friends of Lili, had made her reveal that she want to fun but her own aspirations is keeping her from doing so.

With the help of Harold and Pauline, she can express her black swan side. They had been sharing text messages over their Nokias every weekends when they spend time at the family home, of which cable or satellite channel to watch to enjoy the exploration of their sexual desires, and also with the help of Wesley and Benedict.

Harold just sneaks some Nuts magazine. The magazine as old as the time some of us grew weary of beings kids, and must explore.

Pauline was stuck in the movie American Pie.

They enlisted the year older, and year 13 friends ours: Wesley and Benedict. Georgia had gone on to Durham for university.

Benedict has a clamor for TVE, 'the Spanish can be fiery with their kissing scenes. But only tune in during early morning hours, when media bigwigs are expecting teens like us to he asleep.'

Their champion was Wesley, '"FTV Midnight Haute" which is obviously during midnight. But if your Digibox has those Aussie channel, definitely "Fitness Corner".'

Those were pretty much their Nokia 6600 and Ericsson P900 conversations.

Aside from the fact that Pauline has started dating Wesley's pal who's at university. Harold was still on the hunt for a hare.

Henry, Fiona and I didn't miss out on the fun, Wesley and Benedict were our guidebook on how to survive and move on from an inevitible Oxford rejection.
