So much time has passed. I couldn't remember a day where I went without talking to Rumia. I kept looking at the picture inside of the locket she gave me. It made me feel so happy that I had that option. If I couldn't tell her how I felt, I might as well just look at a picture of her & tell her mentally & not physically.

Silas & I have been shutting down regions thoroughly. It was all part of the perfect plan he set up & so we wasted no time. I even got to use the sword Rumia gave me to attack on the enemy. At first, I felt that it was too powerful for my own good but then, I got the hang of it. This sword is definately just what I needed. It's so precious to me now. I must cherish it for a lifetime.

I do feel apologetic that I didn't have any time to write letters to Rumia. My days consisted of meetings, fightings & crashing out as soon as the day was over.

Luckily, we only had one more district to shut down before we can finally arrive back to the Erstonia Empire...before I can finally confess my feelings to Rumia.

When we reached the region we were to shut down, Silas & I were very confused. We began walking for what felt like hours only to realize that this entire place was abandoned. Nobody lived here. It must have been empty for decades. Everything had been deserted.
This part of the plan was not in the map. No one was even knowledged that this place had been shut down for a while now.

We walk near a farm & I nearly draw out my sword at the sight of someone but Silas quietly stops me from doing so by reaching his hand out.

Someone lives in this farm. It is quite a sight to see, considering this entire country had been left to shreds.
Even this farm was barely keeping itself together. How could someone live here alone? How could he survive with no communication?

Silas walked forward & did most of the talking with him while I stood back.
We came to destroy the region but it had already been destroyed so obviously we had questions.

The boy who lives here alone goes by the name Axel Damaris.
It's such an uncommon name. I don't think i've ever heard the surname "Damaris" before.

When Silas shakes his hand, I notice that Axel freezes as if something came over him. It was weird to witness but I just don't want to assume anything so I leave it at that.

The boy invites us inside for tea & Silas had asked him if he wanted to come back with us. I couldn't have a say in it because I know that when Silas says something, it's usually for a reason...but Axel just gives me weird vibes.

I just kept to myself most of the time & only spoke with him once on our way back. I didn't want to seem like I was ignoring him so I had to. For the most part, I just stared at the picture in the locket a lot.

...

It was almost time. So close.

I was only minutes away from seeing Rumia again.

We were back in the town, I could see the Empire from this angle.

Axel stayed quiet & calm the entire time, I sometimes forgot he was even with us. Silas had fell asleep but no matter how tired I was, I just couldn't wait to get back to the Empire so my eyes remained open.

The carraige goes over a slight bump & that's when Silas arises from his slumber. He arms were wrapped around his sword like it was a teddy bear.

"Morning, sleepy head." I chuckle.

His eyes are still drowsy. He blinks like he doesn't know what's going on. Must have been a long awaited sleep.

The moment the carraige reaches the front Empire gates, the doors gradually opens wide.
