I heard him downstairs fiddling around with something. A couple of bangs, some clinking, and then his footsteps coming back towards the stairs. I laid back on his bed and he appeared with a plate of food and some juice. Breakfast in bed; such a gentleman.

"Here. Its nothing fancy but I figured you'd be hungry." He handed me the plate and glass and after setting the glass on the table by his bed, I dug into the warm slice of honeycake.

"I have to run out quick to get you some clothes but I'll be right back, I promise okay?" Adaman was a little apprehensive to leave. He still felt like this might all be some sick nightmare and he was going to come back and you'd be gone and he'd be alone again. He took a deep breath and headed down again to leave.

----

He walked out of the door and was met with a strong breeze. The Mirelands rarely had great weather as it was usually raining, but the wind was almost ceaseless. He tugged his jacket closed as best as he could and walked over to Mai's hut, hoping she would be there.

Mai had always been a friend to him and was more like a sister. She was also one of the only people who knew his feelings for you. She had called him out on it after you quelled Lilligant but had kept his secret.

She was also the first person he went to after the party the other night, when he was slightly freaking out about everything that had happened with you.

Adaman knocked on her door and waited while the wind whipped around him. Thankfully she opened the door quickly, her tiny munchlax following behind her. She gives him a confused look, knowing he don't normally show up announced.

"Good morning Adaman, what can I do for you? Is everything okay?" She asked, still looking confused.

"Uh yeah, can I come in, I have a...favor to ask." He said quickly, looking around to check if anyone else was around.

There were certain..channels he had to go through to properly announce his intentions with Y/N. He didn't want anyyone hearing him talk to Mai before he could go about things the right way, and mess anything up before it even got started. It was going to be hard enough getting you out of his home without anyone being suspicious.

She let him in without saying anything, and he stepped inside the hut. He relaxed slightly once she shut the door, away from anyone who might over hear them.

"Thanks. I need a spare set of clothes if you can." He blushed slightly, suddenly nervous about the position he was currently in. Adaman didn't think Mai would judge him, but he knew she wouldn't be pleased.

"I don't think any of my clothes will fit you Adaman, what's going on?" Mai said incredulously, growing impatient with the leader.

"I uh...well you see I... " He looked away and stammered not sure how to tell her exactly.

"Spit it out Adaman, I don't have all day."

"Okay. I had Y/N over for dinner last night, as you know," he started, looking at her now. She had a look of concern on her face, nothing more. She wasn't angry or upset, just worried. He had come to the right person, he knew that for sure now.

"Well one think led to another and well she may still be in my hut right now and she may need a new set of clothes. I swear it's not what you think, I mean maybe it is a little but, I swear I didn't take it too far!" He blurted out really fast, unable to stop the words once he started.

Mai just looked at him with pursed lips and a furrowed brow. She crossed her arms over her chest and settled her weight on one foot.

"Mai, please don't look at me like that. You know how I feel about her. I couldn't help it!" He pleaded with her to get her to stop giving me that look.
