4 Days Until the Wedding
Adaman met me bright and early in the morning, saying something about not wanting to waste his time with me. I didn't feel like walking, so I called for Wyrdeer and Adaman gave me a questioning look.
"It's a long walk and it's early. What's wrong?" I asked as Wyrdeer arrived, nuzzling his snout into my neck in greeting. I petted his neck and went to mount him, but Adaman caught my wrist before I could.
"C-can't we just um, ya know walk? It's not that far and it's nice out." He was avoiding eye contact and I got suspicious.
"Adaman. Are you scared of riding Wyrdeer?" A smile crept onto my face as I made the realization. I always thought it was just because he couldn't use the flute, but I had never considered that he would be scared of him.
"NO! Ehm, no. I'm not scared. I'm just... more comfortable on my own two feet." The crack in his voice gave him away though. I put my hand on his chest and I could feel his heart pounding.
"I can't believe my big, strong, leader is scared of riding a pokemon. I promise you'll be okay, just hold on to my hips okay?" I mounted Wyrdeer with ease and looked down at Adaman and held out my hand.
He looked at it unsure, then looked up at me. I gave him a reassuring smile, and after some thought, he finally took it. I pulled him up and he settled behind me, clearly uncomfortable. Once he wrapped his arms around my waist though, I dug my heels into Wyrdeer and he took off at a full sprint. Adaman let out a yelp of surprise, then tucked his forehead between my shoulder blades and gripped my waist tighter.

Radisa made the best sweets in Hisui and she was the only person I would trust to make our wedding cake. When we walked into her shop, she greeted us with a smile and a wave. There was a small table with two chairs set in the middle of the floor, so we took seats. She brought us cups of tea and told us she would be back with different cake and frosting flavors for us to try.
"You're still a little green, are you sure you're okay babe?" I watched carefully as he sipped his tea with slightly shaking hands.
"Yeah. I get a little motion-sick sometimes but I'm alright. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was actually a little fun." He put his teacup back on the table without shaking so much this time.
"Oh! You had fun? I'm glad to hear that, I can't wait to introduce you to everyone else!" His face immediately fell. I knew he had an aversion to the travel pokemon, but I didn't realize it was that bad. "What's wrong? I thought you said you had fun?"
"I did...but we were still on solid ground. I'm not so sure flying with Braviary or riding on Basculegion will be as fun." He looked genuinely scared now and I reached out and held his hand and squeezed it.
"I'm not going to force you to do anything you don't want to do, but if and when you're ready, I'll be there with you." He smiled and squeezed my hand back before Radisa arrived back at the table with a tray of cakes to try. She let us know what each one was and told us to try them all and let her know what we wanted for our cake.
"I've been looking forward to this since she offered to make our cake for us," he whispered to me, taking a huge bite of a yellow cake with yellow frosting, and rolling his eyes. "Ughh. This is so good. She makes the best cake. Here, try this."
He took a smaller piece of cake onto his spoon and fed it to me. I could see the excitement in his eyes as I mulled over the flavors. It was a honey cake with Sitrus berry frosting. It was sour and sweet and so delicious. I closed my eyes and nodded my head.
