The Battle

The sun rose, shining light into the darkened cavern where we stationed ourselves. I woke up, stretching a little. Looking around, Callum & Rayla seemed to be missing. Others were planning battle strategies and or trying to relax before the evil came. I decided to walk outside, maybe to view the sunrise. Who knows. Below the staircase, I spotted Rayla. She seemed to be eyeing Callum, looking confused. I looked at him as well as he held out his arms and mumbled something under his breath. Rayla laughed a little starting to walk up the stairs.

Walking as quietly as one could, i attempted to scare her.

"BOO!" I yelled while grabbing onto her shoulders. She stumbled back, knocking us both off the first steps.

"Y/N! What was that for?!" She yelled, still laying on the ground.

"I totally got you oh my gosh-" I said out of breath while also laughing a bit.

Rayla calmly got up and engulfed me into a hug.

"Hey! I can't get up!" I yelled at her.

"Guess i got you back, huh?" She said, with a smug look on her face.

"Whatever.." I mumbled to myself.

"Hey guys! What's uh going on?" I heard Callum say while walking down the stairs. Rayla got off me and helped me up.

"Uhm.. Prank wars?" I answered unsurely.

Callum just nodded awkwardly and didn't say anything.

"Time for the battle meeting!" Another voice yelled. It was Soren, making bell ringing motions with his fist.

As the meeting ended, Callum was going to slow the others down with his 'zap hand' as he called it. Rayla was going to protect Zym and.. I could choose to stay with either of them. I didn't really know. Would i want to leave Rayla all by herself protecting Zym? Should someone be there for her? Or should I help Callum? Too many thoughts and not enough time.

"Are you sure you can defend Zym? All by yourself? Y'know i could-" I started to say.

"It fine, Y/n. Really. Callum and the others need help down there. You'll be able to stop them before they come up here to attack me." She reassured me.

"Okay, okay.." I said in defeat. Going to help Callum was my mission i suppose.

"I think i know how to armor myself.."

Outside of the cave, i admired my work. I used my water powers to freeze spirals of water. I did this all around the entrance where Rayla and Zym were. And the last thing to do was actually protect myself. The main thing was, i didn't want to lose my leg. So i was able to freeze water around it multiple times to make some kind of ice armor? I don't really know. I decided that there wasn't much else for me to armor myself, seeing as freezing any other part of my body would likely give me frostbite.

Both armies were facing each other at the bottom of the spiral. Someone from Viren's army charged at our own, starting the battle.

Soon, the dragons Ez called in came to help. Despite the dragons firing upon the opponent, fire against fire wasn't the best idea. It only seemed to make them stronger. Some dragons were taken down by chains, though Ez and his dragon were safe.
