Chapter 9: A Lake Date with Eddie

I wake up to the sun blinding my eyes. Eddie blocks the sun and I smile up at him.

'' Good morning, sweetheart. '' He says.

"Good morning. " I say back, rubbing my eyes.

'' Get dressed. We're going somewhere. '' 

'' Where? ''

'' It's a surprise, my dear. '' He said.

He left to the kitchen and I got up and put on this: 

Once I got dressed, I saw Eddie cooking some bacon in a pan. I ran up to hug his bare chest. I could smell strong cologne and cigarette smoke from his back. 

'' So where are we going? '' I asked.

He acted like he didn't hear me, which made me desperate. I moved away from his chest. 

'' Eddie, Eddie, Eddie, Eddie, Eddie.'' I started to sing, it getting progressively louder.

'' Princess/Prince, if you keep doing this, no surprise. '' 

'' Oh, come on!''

Then, he put a finger to my lips and gave me a signal to eat the bacon he had served on a plate. I sat down and he continued cooking while I ate the bacon. 

(3 Minutes later)

Eddie serves me a full plate of eggs and toast after my bacon is finished. Then, he leaves to get dressed and I grab a backpack. I start to pack my essentials: sunscreen, body lotion, hand sanitizer, perfume, portable charger, etc. Suddenly, I feel a tap on my shoulder.

" Pack a swimming outfit while you're at it, my love. That's a hint." Eddie said.

I excitedly ran to my room, holding my (Insert favorite swimming outfit here) and packing it into my backpack in the living room. I know where Eddie might be taking me. It has to be Hawkins pool.

(4 Minutes Later)

After packing everything, Eddie and I got in the car. Before he started the car, he blindfolded me.

" Is this really necessary?" I asked him.

" Yes, princess. Otherwise, my surprise won't be a surprise anymore."

Although I was blindfolded, I felt excited. Excited to see where Eddie was bringing me. Excited about the surprise.

(10 Minutes Later)

(Eddie's POV)

I take off Y/N's blindfold.

" Here we are, hun." I said. 

They looked astonished as they saw what was in front of them: A view of the most beautiful lake in Hawkins. They look so ridiculously adorable.

" Eddie, this is beautiful!" They say.

" Really? You like it? I didn't think you would." I said, fidgeting with my fingers nervously.

Y/N grabbed my hands and looked at me.

" Anything you give me is a blessing, Eddie. I don't like it. I love it." They said, giving me full eye contact.

" Oh, good. Anyways, let's go, my love."

I take Y/N's hand and lead them to the lake. Once we got there, I opened a door to a nearby bathroom for Y/N to change in. 

(Y/N's POV)

I change into my (Insert swimming outfit here). I look in the mirror and immediately feel weird. This is the most of my body Eddie's about to see. I didn't think about that. What if he's like my ex? I feel tears streaming down my face as their insults fill my mind. I blink back into reality and walk out of the bathroom, towel around my body.

Once I'm out, I see Eddie has his shirt off and is in a pair of black shorts. His curly brown hair is in a manbun and I shyly take off my towel.

" Wow, Y/N. You look...beautiful." He said to me.

" Really? I haven't worn this in a while and to be honest, I didn't think it would still fit me." I said. 

" Y/N, You look amazing. Now, get in."

Eddie takes my hand and we jump in. Once I lift my head out of the water, Eddie swims over to me and kisses me. He wrapped his arms around my waist, his cold hands touching my chest/bathing suit(depending if you're wearing one-piece or two-piece). 

"I love you, Y/N." He said, placing his forehead next to mine.

" I love you too, Eddie." I said, proceeding to kiss his forehead.

Then, he playfully splashed my waist. I let go of him and splashed him back on the same spot.

"Y/N! How dare you!" He said.

The next 20 minutes turned into a splashing match between Eddie and I. I had never been on a date that playful. Afterwards, we went to the car and drove back home to change and eat dinner.
