The next day, I step out of the car with Dustin. Suddenly, I see a flash of black- brown hair take Dustin by the elbow. I shrug my shoulders and continue my way to class.
(Eddie's POV)
I pull Dustin behind a tree and face him.
'' Who was that? '' I asked him.
'' Who was who? ''
'' That person that stepped out of the car with you. I saw them in band class yesterday and they're in your step-dad's car? ''
'' That's my sibling. Well, step-sibling. Their name is Y/N.''
'' Y/N. How come I was never properly introduced to them? ''
'' I never felt obligated to introduce you to them. Why are suddenly so interested? ''
'' They're kinda...cute. '' I whispered to him.
'' Wait, Y/N? '' He said quietly.
'' Yeah? ''
'' Y/N? You think my step-sibling, Y/N, is cute? '' He said a little too loudly.
I covered his mouth before he could say anything else. After taking a look around, I released it.
'' Don't say it so loud, Henderson! '' I said, clenching my teeth.
'' Yes, sir.'' He said, after gulping.
'' Can you keep this between us? ''
'' Yeah, man. No problem.''
'' Cool. '' I said.
I clutched my backpack and went on my way to class as I heard Dustin leave.
(Y/N's POV)
I walk with (Insert Best Friend's name) to our spot in the cafeteria until Dustin approaches me.
'' Hey, can I borrow Y/N for a minute? ''
'' Sure. ''
I watch them leave and look at Dustin confusingly.
'' Did something happen to Mom? '' I asked.
'' No. So, I spoke with Eddie. He likes you too! ''
'' Dustin, I told you to keep this between us! ''
'' Technically, I did. He asked about you when you stepped out of Dad's car. I never explicitly told him you like him. ''
'' He asked about me? ''
'' Yeah, he said you were cute.''
'' He did? You're not shitting with me? ''
'' No.''
'' Dustin, you're lying. ''
'' No, I'm not. Look, I'll prove it. ''
Then, Dustin crossed his heart. I cover my mouth with my hands.
'' Eddie Munson likes me? He thinks I'm cute? ''
'' Yeah. ''
'' Oh my god! Eddie likes me! ''
I start jumping up and down and Dustin stops me by touching my shoulders.
'' Please stop that. I want him to ask you out. So, keep it cool. ''
'' 'Kay. ''
