destiny woke up to the sound of her phone going off, groaning as she read the name that was on her screen. she declined the call and rested her head on her arms.

the phone began to ring again and she mentally screamed, answering the phone.

"im awake." she mumbled, looking at the boy on her screen.

"good morning, baby cakes." vinnie smiled, destiny closing her eyes to fight off the smile that would soon creep up on her face.

destiny set her phone so that she could see her screen while lying down on her stomach, watching the boy she adored play video games.

"it's so early, vincent." she acknowledged the time.

"nine in the morning is not early." vinnie laughed, looking at the screen to destiny with her eyes closed. he quickly looked away, his heart rate increasing at the sight of her.

"mhm."

"wanna hang out today?" vinnie asked, destinys eyes fluttering open.

"just us?"

"mm yeah, i mean if .. if that's okay with you." vinnie placed his hand on the back of his back and nervously smiled at her. destiny nodded and a genuine smile creeped on vinnies face.

"great, i'll pick you up at .. say one?"

destiny nodded and sat up in her bed, grabbing her phone and going downstairs to be greeted by her parents. destiny put her moms face in the frame and vinnie smiled, waving at the phone.

"mommy, i'm going to mall later with vinnie." she informed them, her dad looking up from the tv and at his daughter.

"vinnie?" he asked. destiny nodded and showed her dad vinnie who was waving. "ah vincent!"

her dad grabbed her phone and destiny rolled her eyes, walking to the kitchen to talk to her mom while her dad talked to vinnie.

her dad loved vinnie. he's the only boy her dad has ever approved of for his daughter, but destiny always told her parents they were just friends and that they would always remain just friends.

"so you didn't go to school yesterday." her mom randomly stated, destinys eyes widening at the statement. "you or kayla."

"don't tell dad, pleaseeeee." destiny pleaded with her mom. her mom rolled her eyes and sighed, leaning against the kitchen counter.

"what was the reason?" she folded her arms.

"senior ditch day."

"and where'd you go?"

"the beach."

"next time you want to do something like that, let me know. something could've happened and neither one of us wouldn't have known a thing." her mother sternly noted, returning back to cooking breakfast. "vincent went?"
