vinnie has had this song on repeat since yesterday. he had been feeling like shit since he witnessed the promposal, and it made him listen to sad music.
minutes passed and destiny hadn't replied. he didn't even know if she listened to the song. he was going to double text when her contact name popped up on his phone. his heart rate began increasing and he hesitated on answering.
he answered the phone to see her looking at him.
"what does it mean?" she asked, almost immediately. vinnie stared at the girl in front of him and shrugged his shoulders.
"it means something if you sent it, and i have an idea but i don't want to be too sure." destiny sighed, bringing her finger tips to her lips.
"don't bite your nalls." vinnie scolded her.
"sorry." she mumbled. the two stared at each other, destiny trying to find the words of what the song meant to him.
"so?" she asked.
"I just want things to go back to normal, i miss my best friend, des." he choked out, vinnie swallowed the lump in his throat, placing his hand on the back of his neck. this was something he would do when he was extremely nervous.
"I don't think amelia would.."
"who cares about she would or wouldn't want. i want it. i want you to be back in my life." vinnie admitted. "i don't want to act like strangers anymore, we have the same friend group des."
"i'm not gonna try to get along with her, vin."
"i'm not asking you to." vinnie quickly replied.
"okay." destiny nodded.
"o.. okay? really? that easy?"
"mhm." destiny nodded again. "so when are we going to look for prom dresses? it's coming fast."
"i can pick you up in fifteen." vinnie suggested. he was shocked, he didn't expect to get destiny back that easily. destiny missed him though. vinnie was her best friend, and she didn't want to imagine life without him. for the short period of time they didn't talk, it was hell for both of them.
