Blofis Family Over for Dinner

Being  a demigod Percy had never really thought of what other people believed in. This made him completely forget that most people who believe in a god in New York only believe in one. This was made evident when the Blofis family came over for dinner. It was the Saturday after the MET field trip and Percy and Annabeth were sitting on the couch arguing about what they were gonna do that night (Percy wanted to go to the beach and Annabeth said it was to cold and wanted to go to a restaurant) when Sally and Paul walked in. 

The couple looked at them and Percy groaned "you have your you forgot or avoided telling us something. faces on" Annabeth nodded in conformation and the older couple sighed. 

"Okay i'm just gonna say it we didn't tell you sooner well because--" Sally started, and Paul finished "we thought they wouldn't actually come" 

Annabeth narrowed her eyes "who would actually come?"

 Paul sighed "my family is coming over for dinner tonight"

 Percy relaxed "whats wrong with that?" 

Paul said "You were a bit distracted at the wedding Perce, being that you were in a prophecy and all, so you didn't really talk to them but there a bit stuck up" 

Annabeth said "what do you mean stuck up?" she had a feeling there was more to what Paul was saying. 

"Well" Paul said "my parents and brother are very strict about certain things, but they are very devoted to the church which isn't a bad thing, but you guys happen to go against a lot of things they believe in" 

Annabeth groaned "you mean the fact that they only believe in god and we are literal children of greek gods plural" 

Sally nodded "that and the fact that you two are unmarried and live together, or that you are engaged so young" 

Percy dramatically flopped on to Annabeth "Why is it always us???" 

Annabeth ruffled his hair "so tonight whats the plan?" Annabeth knew she would function better with a plan. 

Paul said "I don't want you to lie about who you are, I mean yes don't tell them the demigod part, but you guys should be aloud to believe whatever you think so just be you I guess" 

Sally added "Be you but polite, specifically you Perce" 

Annabeth looked to her Seaweed Brain who groaned "okay we will be polite because they are Pauls family" he said and then added "but if anyone says anything bad about any of you I make no promise of not exploding a pipe or two by accident"  

Annabeth laughed and said "we wouldn't expect anything less" she then turned to Sally and Paul "I promise not to be violent or say anything to mean" Sally and Paul nodded triumphantly 

"They'll be here in an hour so get ready, wear something nice because the Blofis family isn't very casual" Sally said. Percy and Annabeth shot up to their room to start getting ready. Annabeth grabbed her camp shirt and put a white turtleneck underneath it to avoid scar questions along with jeans and a black belt Percy had bought her. Percy put on a camp shirt with a blue sweater over it and black jeans. Percy started to futz with riptide as Annabeth re did her high ponytail. 

Finally the two were ready. Percy gave Annabeth a kiss, she smiled into it then said "you remember these people don't you?" 

Percy grimaced "I didn't want to tell Paul but his family at the wedding wasn't all that nice to me"
