Hi!

I haven't posted on this one in ages, so here's two chapters in one! Enjoy :)
Let me know what you think! I hope my writing style hasn't changed too much

With a big breath, I opened the door to my truck. The sun was starting to set, but there was still plenty of daylight to unload everything back into the barn and house. Another set of headlights pulled in behind my truck, running for a moment before the engine turned off. Percy was visible once his headlights stopped blinding me. I watch as he got out of his car, observing my house.

"Wow, you got yourself a beautiful house! But that's to be expected" He commented in his southern drawl, walking until he was standing next to me.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked tilting my head to the side, confused by what he was trying to get at. Is it because of who my family is? Because my family gifted it to me?

Percy gave out a chuckle and a wink, "A beautiful house for a beautiful lady"

"Oh! Percy!" I slapped his arm jokingly, "Help me with these tables before it gets dark, please and thank you" I

"Yes ma'am" Percy unlatched the tailgate. I walk up and go to grab one side of the tables, but Percy pushed my hands away. "Ah ah ah! I've got the tables! A proper gentleman never lets a lady do any heavy lifting." I just gave him a quizzical look. "What? A cat gotcha tongue?" he poked.

"Percy."

"Yes?"

"You make life interesting" I say, as I squint my eyes and crossing my arms. I mean after all; we work the same job! Why won't he just let me grab my own damn table? Or even grab one side? Perhaps this is his way of trying to woo me? I really can never understand how a young man's brain make them do the things they do.

"Oh yeah? Is that so?" Percy leaned onto the tailgate and leaned slightly in towards me. His chocolate brown eyes looking into my gray ones. Percy had a big grin

"It is so" I laughed, "Maybe I'll tell you, once all of this is put away"

"Oh I see, trading information for labor? You're lucky I like you enough to consider that deal fair" Percy gave a slightly annoyed look while sliding the table out. "So, where would you like this stuff anyways? he grunted with the weight of the table being completely held up by him.

"On the front porch is fine"

"The front porch?"

"That's what I said" I grabbed one of the chairs since Percy was walking in front of me and wouldn't see me as easily. "I'm gonna make it my cooling table for baked goods. I'll admit I'm not too used to the heat down here, so anything I can do to keep any extra heat out of the house is a small blessing" I laughed. We had finally reached the porch, and Percy had set the table down. Once he looked at me, he looked to the chair before looking back to me with a 'are you serious' expression. "What?" I faked an innocent look. It didn't last long though, because I started laughing.

"I thought I told you I would get that?" Percy furrowed his brows as he slid the table to be flush with the porch railing. I placed the chair under the table.

"No, you said you'd do the heavy lifting. This isn't heavy, so you know."

"Mmmm. Yeah. Sure."

" 'Mmm. Yeah. Sure' nothing" I chuckled as I walked up to him and fixed his tie, giving him a pat on his chest. I turned to go back to my truck. "You coming, Percy? Or shall I, a weak and feeble young lady be forced to carry all of these heavy objects" I faked a southern belle accent, but not without letting out a snort and hearty laughter.
