Chapter 4

This is set in the cinematic universe of Sonic, but Tails joined Eggman instead of Sonic.

Setting: Tails's quarters.

Tails woke up after a terrible nightmare.

Tails: Ugh...

He rubbed his head and blinked a few times.

Tails sighed and got up. He made his daily trip to the holding cells.

Tails: Come on.

Sonic stood up, he was already used to this.

Tails walked ahead and Sonic followed. He knew if he tried to run Tails would easily catch up to him, due to loosing his speed yesterday. So he just followed.

They got to the spot they were hanging out at yesterday.

Sonic stared at the floor, Tails stared at Sonic.

Tails: Look I-

Sonic: Stop. Just stop.

Sonic kept his head down.

Tails's ears fell to the sides of his head.

Sonic pov: I've been betrayed before... Why does this feel so different.

Sonic: ... Keep talking.

Tails's ears perked up just a little bit hearing this.

Tails: I did want to save you. But I feel asleep. I'm sorry. It's all my fault.

Sonic looked up again.

Sonic: You meant to save me?

Tails: Yeah...

Sonic's face lit up a bit hearing this. He blushed a little.

Sonic pov: No no no! I will not fall in love with this fox!

Tails: I never caught your name.

Sonic: Sonic.

Tails smiled.

Tails: Cute name.

Sonic blushed again.

Sonic pov: Goddamn it, I'm getting flustered.

Tails: Are, you okay?

Sonic: Y-yeah.

Tails pulled something out of his pocket.

Tails: I felt bad... So I made this. You can call the red head and your parents. I'll leave you.

Tails handed him the device and walked away.

Sonic pressed the button. The phone device started ringing.

Tom answered.

Tom: Sonic? Sonic are you okay!?

Maddie: Oh my gosh we've been so worried!

Knuckles: You're getting out of there right?

Sonic: I'm fine. I have a plan. Eggman's new henchman has a crush on me, I'm going to use it to my advantage.

Knuckles: Disloyal!

Sonic: I know, but it's the only way out of here for now.

Tom: Glad to know you're okay. Where are you?

Sonic: Eggman's base on the mushroom planet.

Maddie: The Mushroom planet?

Sonic: Mhmm. He returned. Well I should go. I'll be out soon.

Sonic hung up.

Sonic: I'm done.

Sonic pov: I hope he didn't hear that.

Tails came back. He took it.

Tails: Wow. I'm surprised. Why are you sticking around cutie?

Sonic immediately blushed.

Sonic: I've told you my name, why do you keep calling me that?

Tails: I was just teasing you. But I saw you blush.

Sonic's eyes widened and his face got redder.

Tails: So you really do like me? I thought you were lying.

Sonic: I- I... Do. Like you.

Tails blushes hearing his response.

Tails: That's adorable.

Sonic blushed again.

Tails: Damn you're really easy to fluster.

Sonic: You're blushing too...

Tails: I know.

...

Sonic: So will you let me free?

Tails: Damn you hedgehog.

Sonic just smiled.

Tails: Not until I get what I want.

Sonic blushed.

Sonic: W-What do you want?

Tails crawled over to Sonic.

Tails: You, of course.

Tails kissed Sonic on the cheek.

Sonic blushed.

Tails: Love you.

Sonic blushed for a little bit longer before finally saying something.

Sonic: So if we like each other then...

Tails smirked.

Tails: If you're thinking what I'm thinking, then yes. I'll be your boyfriend.

Sonic smiled while blushing.

Tails: Was I correct?

Sonic: Y-yes.

Tails: Good.
