Even though Venti never understand what really happened between Selene and Zoe — pretty much because it was not his business — he still wanted to do more than feed her ice cream to make her feel better. He wanted to get rid of the public, so that even for a bit, Zoe could be happy.
“Do you take the risk of losing your job, and come with me outside of your house?”
“What?” this was a stupid idea. Zoe's life can be ruined by this, but Venti disregarded that thought, he needed Zoe to be happy right now. Who cares about what happens next?
“Let's go hang out outside.”
“My manager won't let me go out of my house.”
“Who cares? No one can control you, Zoe.” she was thinking for quite a long time. Probably thinking about what the public will do if she was outside... Now Venti realized that it was dangerous for Zoe to go outside because she had gained many haters!
“I take the risk, Venti.” they both grinned at each other. As if... As if she wasn't tearing up earlier. But Venti was relieved that she wasn't crying anymore... Seeing her like that hurts him. Even if they've only known each other for a short time.
Venti forbids Zoe to wear any mask, or cap. He wanted her to feel like she was free. Like there weren't any chains tied around her. Like she was her own person.
He might get in trouble with her manager, but who cares? Who cares if they ignite the fire more? For as long as Zoe was happy, he didn't care about anything. If he weren't gay... He probably would've fallen for this woman already.
Of course, many people were looking at them, some were taking pictures. Zoe would always get nervous, but Venti was there to comfort her.
Venti would hold her hands and smile at her, emphasizing that it was alright. There was nothing to worry about.
They went from eating street food from vendors who genuinely needed money for their living, then giving some food to the kids who were in the streets! This is who Zoe really is, and he wanted to show her that. Next, they went to watch movies at the cinema! Been a while since he has last, did it? Usually, he would just watch on Netflix.
In the middle of the movie, Zoe opened her phone and saw tons of messages from her manager!
I told you to stay in your house, Celeste. Now people are thinking you're going out with that guy!
“Oops,” she says as she whipped popcorn inside her mouth, slowly looking at Venti before they both laugh. She did not reply. Why does she need to? So he can control everything she does again? This is her day to be happy. Who cares if the public hates them more?
“Want to go to Moa? Let's try ice skating! I heard there's a Ferris wheel there too!” that's a mall... Much more crowded than ever... What if... What if they get the worst treatment there?
She sighs before nodding. At least she would have fun!
Venti was the one who wanted to ice skate, and yet he was the one who was hugging the railings! He was too scared to let go and fall!
Zoe was flexing her skills as she spins around with her eyes closed. Is there anything this woman can't do?
“I had to learn it for some photoshoots that promote the clothing,” she explains to Venti, holding him by his arm and trying to help him improve and lose his fears. She was way taller than Venti! She was a model, after all. “See? Just do it without fear, and your body will move along with it!”
As Venti slowly understands how it was done, Zoe took a video of him.
“Kaya pa ba natin for today's video?” she laughed as Venti struggled to keep up with it again, he was trembling. “Zoe Celeste I swear to god!” his face was visible in the video, his cute, and scared face. “You were the one who said we should go here!” she said behind the camera, you can still hear her giggles!
