(Hope)

An unsettling sense of calm washed over me in my tired state, rain drizzling and pattering on my misted window, tempting my inner musician to drum my fingers on my wet, tear-stained pillow. Emotions swam around my mind in a flurry, making my vision blurry and white spots cloud my eyesight.

As I try to find the cause of my emotional roller coaster, a few things come to my mind; my moving to Greece, leaving my family and friends behind and of course not knowing what's happening with Mark.

Moving to Greece alone is going to be tough, having to pack up all my bits and pieces, making sure to find accommodation for myself and making sure that I am 100% sure what I am going to do when I decide to start work. I decided to move on my 18th birthday because I was going to take a gap year before continuing my studies.

Now two months later everything is coming together. My family has helped with packing all of the furniture I'll need as well as my belongings and clothes. All I needed to do now is wait for the movers to pack up all the boxes that were too heavy for me to pack. My mum let me take all the paintings from our living room because they were collected during our travels and she wanted me to have some mementos, these consisted of some nature photos, some family photos and some pictures of our holidays. So, both my room and our living room were empty now.

Another thing that's been on my mind is the fact that I've now started to think about 'Dating.' It had been so long till I had found someone who made me feel the way I felt, if not ever. I felt like I would go to the ends of the earth for Mark, he made me feel wanted, I felt shy around him, and I couldn't stay away even if I wanted to. We had met a few months ago, during a walk I decided to take after having a huge argument with my dad, something about my course studies, I was deeply upset with the anger and disappointment coming from my dad toward me and I decided to take a walk in the park to distract myself, this was the day that I met the man that I love,

It was a muggy, cloudy day and I shivered in my coat and boots - my main winter wardrobe - as I walked through our local park, the wind rustled through the leaves, blowing them to the floor, making their red and brown colored tips dance around my feet. I took a deep breath of the fresh air around me as I passed a few football pitches all full of boys my age kicking a ball around, I was usually quite sporty, and I need some conversation so I decided I didn't have much to lose and, I walked up to one of the guys standing to the side, he turned toward me, his feet crunching in the gravel and he greeted me kindly,

"Hey there beautiful, have you come to join us?" His voice was smooth, deep and confident, and the way he held himself drew me in, he seemed very confident, compared to him I probably seemed like a bunny.

"Yes I have, I'm Hope." I declared, the coldness peeling away, the anxiousness around him falling, being replaced by confidence. All remembrance of what happened in my tense conversation with my dad earlier, far from my mind.

"My name's Mark." He said before adding, "Toshanova,"

He gestured to his friend and said, "This is Theon, Elliott and James."

Theon was tall and skinny with red hair, Elliot had black hair and a muscular build. James was bulky and had chestnut brown hair. But above all Mark stood out the most, a chiseled chin that could cut diamonds, he was muscular but not bulky and his eyes were an electric blue. I felt small under his gaze and showed him a shy smile.

"Thanks Mark, are there any specific rules on how to play?" I stared up through my eyelashes and into his eyes, I could feel the interest in me being piqued, he was one of a kind, and the only person like him was Jasper.
