My heart started to beat out of control when I took in a collapsed Hope on my lap, sweat collected in beads on her forehead and she was muttering words over and over, why, house, sad, all were words she just muttered lowly under her breath, she didn't move thankfully and nothing came out of her mouth, so she wasn't having a seizure or a heart attack, I decided to take her upstairs onto our bed and lay her down, I picked her up with minimal effort and carried her bridal style to our bedroom.

When I laid her down, she stirred slightly, getting used to her new surroundings and soon she lay still like she was asleep. About ten minutes had passed and I was starting to get concerned. However, I let it be and sat downstairs while focusing on the lovely time we've had for the past three days,

Hope had just finished using the hotel shower and she came out in her baggy pants and hoodie, she had collected her hair in a clump on the top of her head fastened by a claw looking thing, I never understood why women use those things, and the bulky hair bands, scrunchies I think they are called.

She started to collect her stuff and pack it into her hand-luggage, she took her toiletries and all of her now clean clothes. She put all of my clothes and toiletries in my bag too, my heart warmed when she turned around and I saw her Air Pods in her ears, she was bobbing her head to the music and didn't notice me staring yet. She swayed her hips while walking around the room and I checked my watch, only 3 hours to go until the flight, or rather 2 hours until we need to get to the gate, considering we still have one round of security to go through it would be wise to leave an hour early.

I shook off the distant memory and immediately regretted doing that. My mind began to flood with worry and concern, Hope wasn't sitting beside me, which is what I expected, I expected to wake up from my reverie and Hope be sitting right beside me. I was met with deep disappointment though, she was indeed still upstairs, unless she was in the bathroom. With this thought in my mind, I got up and quickly ran to the bathroom.

On the way there I saw that it had been about 3 hours since Hope passed out, the bathroom was empty and when I checked upstairs, Hope was indeed lying in bed in the same position I left her in. My face fell and I lugged myself back downstairs, the couch looked angelic, well that may have just been because I was exhausted. I sat on the soft couch and opened up Arabian Nights I sat back and rested the book on my lap as I began reading. I soon lost myself in the story and it consumed me, hours went by and I was only halfway through the book. Most people would be hurrying to finish books like these but I preferred to take my time and get lost in the old tales.

I decided to take a break from reading and by taking my head out of the book my head turned toward the clock, it had been 3 and a half more hours since I sat down. I was beginning to feel despondent toward the situation and I chose to go upstairs to Hope. I traveled up the stairs slowly and went into the bedroom, Hope was dead still and thankfully her chest was still rising and falling, she looked more peaceful. I lay next to her and let my head fall in my hands, I was absolutely exhausted and I wished she would just wake up.

Half an hour later and something shifted on the bed, I immediately lifted my head from my hands and saw Hope moving, her eyes open, I moved toward her and embraced her in a hug. She began to sob into my shoulder and I didn't do anything to stop her from doing so, all I could do was be there, be there for my angel. My life.
