Dear Billy (Fluff)

You are Max's older sister but decide to stay in California when they moved to Hawkins. The death of your stepbrother Billy drives you to visit Hawkins.

Y/N's pov

Finally, my shift was over and I could go home. Once arriving home I turned on the tv. It was so quiet living alone so I turned the sound up and went over to the news channel.

"A Hawkins high school, student Billy Hargrove has tragically died in a mall fire" 

That's all I heard before I broke down sobbing. Not Billy. I know we didn't see eye to eye and that was the main reason I stayed in California. 

I had to go to Hawkins, for my mother and Max. 

Time skip to arriving in Hawkins

It was a few days later when I arrived in Hawkins. In the few years that my family had moved here, I never visited once. 

As I passed the border I noticed that the sign read "Welcome to HELL" instead of "Welcome to Hawkins". The few times that I spoke to Max over the phone she warned me about this. I didn't think anything of it and carried on driving to Forest Hill's Trailer park where my family now lived.

They knew I was coming to see them but didn't know when. I didn't want to stop my mother from working, she needed all the money she could get, and I didn't want to stop Max from going to school, especially with her just starting High school.

I pulled up to Forest Hill, a few people were sitting outside there trailers, staring at me. That's what people do though when new people come into town.

I parked my car next to my family's trailer, leaving everything put a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. I walked over to a picnic table that was across from my family's trailer and it was outside of another trailer. I hope they didn't mind if I had a quick smoke.

I sat down at the picnic table and lit a cigarette, getting lost in my thoughts.

Eddie's POV

The sunlight beamed through the window as I opened my eyes. It was a nice spring morning.

I got up out of bed and to the kitchen to make myself a drink. As I was filling my glass of water at the sink, out the window I noticed a figure outside at the picnic table.

When I open the trailer door noticed that there was a girl sitting there smoking. I walked over to the girl and sat on the other side of the bench. As I sat she came out of her daydream looking at me startled.

"Hey, sorry I didn't mean to scare you" I said trying to calm the startled girl.

"Oh sorry I just got lost in my thoughts" the girl replied wiping a tear from her eye. 

"Oh fuck, are you ok? I didn't mean to scare you that much" I chuckled.

Fuck fuck fuck. Have I really just messed up. 

"I'm uhh Y/N Mayfield, Max's older sister" The girl managed to choke out.

This is Y/N Mayfield? Billy's step sister. I had been quite close with Billy. We both went to the same parties and smoked weed together.  It hit me hard too Billy's death and it honestly was why I wasn't at school. I had only known Billy for a few years but it felt like we had known each other for years.

"I'm Eddie, Eddie Munson" I said and held out my hand for the girl. We shook hands.

"Your Eddie, damn Max said that Billy had a best friend that I would find hot" She giggled.

I don't what came over me but the words didn't stop running from my mouth.

"Yeah? Billy said that I may like his step-sister, you like metal too right? would you like to come in while you wait for your mum to get home from work and maybe smoke with me for a bit? Are we taking things too fast? It's just I miss my best friend so much and you're the only connection I have to Billy apart from Max...." I blurted out fastly before being cut off with a kiss.

The girl had gotten from the other side of the picnic table and was now around the other side kissing me.

"Eddie, I know we only just met but I feel the same way, me and Billy didn't see eye to eye but at the end of the day he was still my stepbrother and we share a connection through this boy."
