"Hey! I'm Kinzie," the girl said cheerfully. "Come on, I'll show you around," she said, gesturing to Diana to follow her.
The girl was slim, medium height, and redheaded with the same attire as Hylla, but without the golden belt. She had an extreme ear-piercing voice and blasting energy despite the late night hours.
"Diana, right?" the girl asked, her green eyes focusing on Diana's necklace as she let her walk through the opened door.
"Yes, nice to meet you," Diana said, her voice transmitting exhaustion, which apparently Kinzie noticed since she said:
"I'll just show you around real quick, then I'll take you to your room".
Diana followed Kinzie until they arrived at what seemed like University dorms, with a long, almost never ending hallway. It was dark, with only a light coming out from the farthest room. Kinzie quickly explained every single room to their right: a small warehouse for the basics like clothes, hygiene products, etc.; the kitchen, which was closed at the time; followed by the dining room beside, which was also closed; and to the very end of the hallway, a living room, beautiful, with a tall ceiling, sofas, armchairs, coffee tables, tvs, computers, and shelves all around. That was the room where the only source of light was coming from. There was a group of three girls sitting around a table playing what seemed like a card game.
"This is my favorite place, it's open around the clock. There are all types of entertainment here. And, I am proud to say, I was the main decorator," Kinzie smiled proudly, then added. "It was recently remodeled".
They turned around to face the left part of the building. There were doors all along the wall.
"This part, from here and upstairs," Kinzie pointed to the stairs that were just in front of them, "Are the rooms. The one over there," she pointed towards the first door, which must've been bigger on the inside, since it was farther away from the rest of the doors, "Is the Queen's room. The one beside hers is mine," she said. Diana stood staring at the door of the Queen's room, as if waiting for her to come out.
"This is the Temple room" Kinzie whispered beside her. She pointed to another room, the last door in the hallway. Kinzie opened the door and invited Diana to approach, holding the glass door open. "The altars for the gods are here," she continued whispering as they entered the room.
The room inside had a special touch to it. It was slightly lighted; the artificial light coming from the living room beated the one inside that place. However, at first sight, Diana couldn't figure out how, for she saw no artificial light on the ceiling. But when she walked farther inside, she saw a hearth in the middle of the room, burning at its fullest. On the back wall, center and biggest of them all, was an altar. It was like a children's playhouse, actually, kind of like a mini version of an ancient temple. The material was of marble with golden details, and a golden lightning was hanging from the facade.
"That's Zeus', or Jupiter, however you want to call him," Kinzie whispered to Diana's ear, making her jump. Kinzie proceeded to show her every altar, each one of them different in their own way, some with more offerings than others. Two of them caught Diana's attentiont the most, similar to each other, side by side. They had red altar tables, and they seemed to have the most offerings: food of every kind and even money. The only difference between them were the statues: one was a fierceful looking man holding a spear, and the other was a regal woman, whose stare was so penetrating it left Diana without breath.
"Those are Mars and Bellona, siblings, gods of war," Kinzie said. "Bellona is Queen Hylla's mother".
When Kinzie said that, it made more sense to Diana. They had the same cold and intense stare, as if they were watching their prey, analyzing it, waiting for the moment to attack.
