The sound of Kirito Azusagawa's shoes hitting the tile floor echoed through the bathroom, creating a dramatic effect. Each foot touched the floor at the exact same distance, in inches and in time. His face was serious, realizing that this was his one shot, and that if he didn't say it now, he wouldn't say it any other time.
Kawasaki Higuchi saw Kirito‘s facial expression, which gave off an intense look. His breathing was slow and heavy, and he was looking at her straight in the eyes, attempting to intimidate her. Each moment, he got a feet closer to her, until his face was only a few inches apart.
Slamming his hand into the wall, a mere few centimeters form her head, he snarls, "LISTEN HERE!"
Higuchi stood completely still in shock, her only noticeably reaction was a tomato red blush reaching from ear to ear.
"W-what is it Kirito?" She stammered in response.
"I'm going to tell you something, and you better listen carefully 'cuz I'm not going to repeat myself." He said in a tone the emitted cockiness and confidence.
Azusagawa said he doesn't know what Kabe-Don is, and yet, he's executing it like a professional. He legit just learned less than a minute ago.
"A-alright, what is i-it?" She peeped so quietly it was barely audible.
Miyuki, Tobe and I held our breath, afraid of breaking the picture perfect moment. Where the windows were open just a bit to allow a tiny breeze barely make Higuchi’s hair move.
"I like you!" He said with a grin.
"....huh." She said shocked, not ever expecting that he would ever have romantic thoughts about her.
Of course everyone around them could tell, but alas, it is a common side effect of being a main character.
"I told you, I'm not repeating myself, see you tomorrow." He said, walking out the exit.
I decided to tail him to congratulate him for confessing. When I opened the door that he just exited, there was a figure who I identified to be Kirito who was making a beeline for the vending machines.
That was a pretty stressful situation, I'd want something to drink after that.
I took a seat on the bench next to the vending machine he was at. There were many vending machines around different schools in Japan, typically selling a variety of different drinks, ranging from tea to soft drinks.
"Thanks for helping me out," Kirito shot a smile, which was genuine, but still let through the stress he was going through.
"You did great back there, how'd you manage to perform a Kabe-Don perfectly when I just told you how to do it?" I questioned him, curious to what the secrets of a successful Kabe-Don are so I could recreate it when I take my turn and confess to Sakura.
"I don't know, I just did it, and I guess I did okay" he said sheepishly
Okay?? There's no way he hasn't seen it in anime several times. It's nearly impossible that a normal person, not to mention a shy and meek teen like Kirito, would be able to do something from just hearing an overview and brief instructions without any prior practice. This just shows the wonders of being a protagonist.
But I've never been afraid of a challenge (except for the times I have), so doing it should be a piece of cake, even without being a protagonist.
"Well, I look forward to how your relationship will end up," I smiled and got up from the chair I was on and headed home.
"Thanks," he calls after me with an honest smile.

It's a bright new day, perfect for confessing. But, I'll have to hold off. After contemplating in my room for a few hours, I've come to the realization that since I don't have some holy power to have anything romance related work out for me, I'll have to train to achieve that level of immediate success. But of course training alone is for loners-... unlike myself. So I'm going to require some assistance from a professional.
