Remembering

Ember's POV

Why had I not gone to the bus stop when I was supposed to. Why did I sit on my doorstep. Perhaps it was habits of my recent school kicking in, but now I would be late on my first day of school. How stupid can I be? As I ran after it, down the lane and onto the high street, I remembered a short cut! Through the supermarket obviously! Panting and running I went through them supermarket. I snitched a bottle of water from the lane and ran on to the exit. "Oi stop there" a man shouted at me. Crap, now I am really in serious trouble. Still, I ran on. I burst through the doors and saw the bus stop ahead of me. "nearly there, nearly there" I looked for the bus. No sign of it. Either I had beat it, or I had missed it. Then I saw it coming round the corner. "Oi you, I said stop!" The bus was there. With a burst of speed I ran on. It started the engine. "Oh Shit" I jumped and grabbed the pole and swung myself on. Just as the bus drove away. "Who are you. Are you new" He asked. "yes" he gestured for me to take a seat. I walked along the isle looking for a free seat. The only one free was next to a girl with brown hair tied up in a ponytail with blue ribbon. " Is it okay if I sit here"

"Sure, take a seat. What's your name?"

"Ember" I said.

Luna's POV

When she said that her name was Ember. I was brought back to what I had read in the local newspaper. About that fire years ago. This was her. It must be her. Who else would go by the name Ember. It was such an unusual name. It must be her. It must be. "your the one who started that house fire" I said. "Years ago, It was you. The one who through the match on the floor and it started a fire, you were the one who ended up in hospital. weren't you"

When she said that, time swung back. And I remembered the fire.
