B R U T A L I T Y
Chapter 4
. . .Present Day. . .
I took a step back, and another, and another; until my back hit the wall. Body shaking, in fear or anger I wasn't quite sure.
This didn't make any sense, why would he erase my memory? Why would it be him that night, maybe, just maybe this is all a dream; that I'll wake up and I'll be sleeping in my bed, that Aiden wouldn't have betrayed us, that I wouldn't be in the same room as the same werewolf that had killed my parents.
But I knew the chances of this being a dream were slim to none.
This was real.
"You're...you're..." My voice came out like a whisper, wiping away the tough façade I had held once before. "You knew." I said, furrowing my brows.
"I did and I'm sorry for that." He said, grey eyes cloudy and full of regret. "I never intended for things to turn out this way."
"You fucking killed my parents so how the hell do you expect me to believe that!" I yelled at him, taking a step forward accusingly. "Because of you I don't know if this is all real or some kind of dream, or- or an illusion of yours that I've been put under. I just don't know what to believe anymore."
Within a split second, I was pushed up against the wall where Lykos' hands were on each side of my head, every inch of his body pressed against mine, faces only a few centimetres from each other.
"Does this feel real, Serenity?" He said in a low voice, I could feel his chest vibrating and heart thumping every few seconds in an odd pattern. When I was about to reply, he slowly craned his head down to my neck, to where he pressed his lips softly upon.
"And that?" He hummed, his hot breath fanning my skin. Moving his head again, he placed his lips on my jaw for a few seconds before pulling away to look at me.
Lykos' eyes were bright ember, shining more than I had ever seen them shine before, lust and devotion empowering them. They were so close, like two golden swirling orbs that held so many secrets that I wanted to somehow uncover.
"If this was just a dream, this wouldn't be happening right now." He said, and smirked. "This is reality, it's like the phrase; expect the unexpected - I guess you could say."
And with that said, he turned around, opened the door, and left.
After a few minutes of staring at the door, I realized something. "Hey, you broke the deal!"
. . .
Eighteen days.
Eighteen entire days I had now been locked in this small, disgusting cell that smelt of dried blood and rotting flesh.
Eighteen entire days with only a sandwich a day to satisfy my hunger.
Eighteen entire days with the lingering sensation of Lykos' lips on my skin. Not to mention the little amount of sanity that was left in my mind from thinking over every overwritten and removed memory that was now set as the real past.
Moving my body into a more comfortable position, I laid my legs down in front of me, noticing how my jeans were more baggy compared to how skin tight they were before and how the bones in my hands stuck out more.
