Amaryllis.

A flower that disappeared from this world a very long time ago.

A flower that represented true love and genuine emotion. Though, in this world, that beautiful flower suddenly disappeared without any trace, leaving the people in confusion for a long period of time.

Cale thought about this, and about how no one was able to acquire an amaryllis in those long years of the past.

Yet Alver asked him for such a flower...

"You said you will give me anything, even the impossible. Then I want you to give me an amaryllis."

Alver's words rang in Cale's head as he walked absentmindedly through the hallways.

He wasn't an idiot as he knew the meaning behind Alver's words. However, Alver was his first love. The first person who was able to move his heart.

Cale also felt some emotions in Alver's eyes whenever he looked at him, and that's why he always tried to believe in him. At least, Alver never lied to him.

Even while telling him to do the impossible, Alver's eyes were sincere. Telling him that if he was somehow able to get it, he and Alver would finally be lovers.

But that was impossible. There was no way he'd be able to find an amaryllis. Alver had indeed asked for the impossible.

Tears welled up in his eyes without his permission, when suddenly, he bumped onto a broad chest and a pair of warm arms were wrapped around him.

"Cale? What's wrong? You're crying..."

The voice was shaking a little, visibly concerned about his well-being. He lifted his head a bit.

"Han-ah..."

Meeting that pair of clear black irises, Cale bursted into tears while hugging Choi Han tightly. Choi Han could only rub his back soothingly, whispering softly to comfort him.

The world was quiet, with only the two of them inside it.

Gradually calming down, Cale told Choi Han about everything that happened during this day. Choi Han hugged him gently, not letting him see his eyes which looked as cold as steel on ice.

He truly loathed Alver from the deepest part of his heart. He knew this shit was ridiculous. Choi Han knew from this very moment that Alver really didn't mean any good for Cale.

But, he couldn't ignore Cale's feelings. Cale was sure that Alver never said anything aside from the truth. Choi Han couldn't even try to change his mind, as Cale was so deep into it. He also believed that Alver would really date him if he got an amaryllis.

The amaryllis was almost a legendary existence as of the current moment. It was almost impossible to get one.

The key word was almost.

Choi Han remembered a myth in an old book he had found in a storehouse of his family. That myth was talking about a legendary being who was able to know the future and had omniscient knowledge of this world–

The World Tree.

An existence who appeared in most of the fantasy novels he had read before and was able to help in many dire situations.

Choi Han didn't know if this was true. However, he was willing to risk it for Cale.

Wiping Cale's tears gently, he kissed his forehead affectionately.

"Cale, you just have to go back home. I'll find a way to get an amaryllis for you."

Even if the chance was faint, he was still willing to risk everything for it. Whether Alver was genuine with his words or just lying, Choi Han felt it was worth it. If Alver was serious, then he would be helping Cale to be with his love, and if Alver was lying...
