"That's great to know!"

Smiling brightly, Choi Han's body shook a bit. However, his mind was clearer than any time before. His body recognized the danger of what he was just about to do, but his mind was ecstatic to know that he would still be able to help Cale.

There was nothing wrong with his death. Choi Han didn't really have many people who cared about him, as his family was dead from years ago.

He had some friends. But, they were not a quarter of how important Cale was.

His beloved needed him, and Choi Han will gladly choose to pay for Cale's happiness even by the cost of his own life.

[.....]

The World Tree recognized all of this; it knew exactly what was on this young man's mind. That's why it tried to prevent him by hiding the way he can get an amaryllis.

Despite that, her efforts were in vain as the young man was now more than happy to give his life for his beloved.

[You would die.]

It tried to warn him for the last time.

"I'm aware."

Calmly responding to her, Choi Han bowed deeply in front of the world tree.

"You should be surrounded by mystery; you're different from what I read about. I'm sure there is a story behind this. However, I must go."

He smiled lightly as he added,

"Maybe I can meet you again in another life. In the end, this world seems to have more fantasy than what I believed."

Chuckling to itself, the world tree just mumbled as it watched Choi Han's back getting farther away from it.

[I wonder. Would that be possible?]

The world tree was burned down so many times and was taken advantage of by many people.

The almighty world tree wasn't as great anymore; it just had its knowledge left to it, and nothing more was left behind.

However, it was this knowledge itself that made it able to watch the humans and how they interact with each other. This allowed it to be able to see the end of this situation from the very first moment.

Despite that, it decided to watch for more. Maybe, some happiness will be present in this tragedy.

A text was sent, asking him if it's okay to visit. Cale was expecting his friend's goofy smile with a bouquet of paper flowers on his hand, or at most flowers made of glass—

That redhead was getting his reaction prepared; excitement ranging in so many levels even if the flower ended up sloppy-looking because Choi Han was never really that good in kitchen stuff and art and craft.

Cale was ready to laugh. He's ready to act extravagantly foolish to console his friend who's likely to feel sad or down from the failed attempt or something.

He was expecting to see his puppy-like friend staring at him with guilt before they spend the rest of the day watching a movie or such...

Anything in that sense.

Because as much Choi Han as understood him, Cale also grasped most if not all of that black-haired punk's habits and nature—

Or at least.... He would like to think that he knew his only friend that much...
