Katerina's first instinct was to try to escape. But unfortunately, Stiles proved to be surprisingly much faster than her. He appeared in front of her and held her into the air by her throat. "Where do you think you're going, sweetheart? The show is just getting started and you are the main act." Stiles spat before throwing her across the building into the wall. He sped after her and pinned her to the wall with a furious glare. "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU'VE PUT ME THROUGH?!" He raged. "Didn't realize you thought about me so much, I've never given you a second thought since I left." Katherine shot back with a smirk.

Stiles slammed his fist into the wall beside her head  putting a hole in it. "Do not test me, she-devil. I will not hesitate to end your life." Stiles growled. "Oh, but then who will you hold a grudge against now if I'm dead?" Katherine asked with a smile. Stiles squinted his eyes. Before Katherine could react, Stiles grabbed her neck and snapped it in one fluid motion. The -year old vampiress dropped to the floor.

Stiles turned to his brothers. "Now, if you'll excuse me. I have some business to attend to." He said picking Katherine off the floor and lifting her over his shoulder. "Where are you going?" Damon asked. "I'd tell you, but I don't want to. So I'm not going to." Stiles responded before speeding out of the house.

Stefan looked at Damon. "Did you believe any of what just happened?" Stefan asked. "Says the guy who thought our brother was dead for decades. I'm not going to answer that." Damon voiced walking away before looking at Elena. "I'd be careful of Stiles, Elena. If you think I'm bad....wait 'til you see Stiles at his worst." Damon explained before leaving.

Elena looked at Stefan before Stefan pulled her into a hug. "I'm so glad you're okay." Stefan voiced holding her close to him. "He was never going to hurt me, Stefan." Elena sounded. "You don't know that." Stefan retorted. "He only wanted Katherine. He used me as bait to get you to do what he wanted." Elena explained. "You can't trust a goddamn thing that comes out of his mouth, Elena. He's a monster. Always has been. Always will be. He'll never change. Just like Damon." Stefan argued.

"How could you possibly know that if you thought he's been dead for 200 years?" Elena said stepping back. "Elena, trust me. He's not good." Stefan stated. "Is he? Or are you just afraid of potentially losing me to another brother?" Elena snarled before she spun around on her heels and left the house. Leaving Stefan alone with his thoughts.

Unbeknownst to the two individuals in the room, a shadow had traversed the floor of the house. Listening to their every word. Collecting information. It moved gracefully across the dark wood floor. The shadow avoided Stefan and Damon. Just as it was instructed to by its master. Its sole objective was to obtain information on everyone and everything. And to kill anyone that stood in its way.

The shadow followed Stefan from a distance before ducking beneath a chair. Stefan looked around with furrowed brows. He continued walking down the corridor before the shadow trailed behind him. Stefan immediately turned around and sped towards the shadow. The shadow dodged out of the way of the speeding vampire and morphed into a humanoid shape. It was pitch black and smoking.

Stefan squinted his eyes. "What the hell are you?!" He shouted. The shadow screeched before Stefan ran at it and ran his hand through its chest. The shadow looked down at Stefan's arm in his chest before grabbing him and throwing him out of the house. The shadow walked towards Stefan before waving its hand in the air. Stefan was lifted off the ground and was pulled towards the shadow beast.

Stefan finally noticed that the shadow had taken the shape of something. It was animal in form. Long ears and snout. Slender limbs. But it was the tail...sorry, tails. The tails that caught his attention. Each swishing behind the shadow monster like it had a mind of its own. There were 10 of them. Stefan furrowed his brows and widened his eyes as the monster revealed a line of razor-sharp fangs within its mouth. Then its eyes opened. Stefan immediately let out a scream of absolute terror and agony.

The eyes glowed bright neon green. Staring directly into Stefan's soul and it felt as if it was burning. Stefan's body felt like it was ablaze. But it wasn't. It was his soul.

"Leave. Him. Alone." The monster snarled in a grating metallic demonic voice. Its voice was deep enough to where Stefan could feel it thrum against his ribcage like the bass of drum. Then the monster was gone, without a trace.

Who was it talking about? Leave who alone? Stefan looked around before letting out a breath.
