The Ball pt 1

Y/N's pov:
Today was the day. The day Of the ball. Everyone was so excited, Maya had made that very obvious as she was physically jumping up and down. I guess I was to, mainly nervous though. My father would be attending. I tried to push those thoughts to the side and try involve myself in everything going on around me. Maya has gone back to her room and all of us where now sat down in the main area eating our breakfast.

"I'm sooo excited" said Pansy as she poured herself more orange juice. "Me too, remember we have a nail appointment in 1 hour" I said. "Omg yes. Then we can come back and get ready together" she squealed "and what will you boys be doing"

They both looked at eachother and something came over both their faces, I couldn't quite tell what though. "Mainly nothing until you girl actually start getting ready" Tom said after a moment of awkward silence. Mattheo nodded along. "Do you have your matching suit ready" I looked at him. "Yes love" mattheo smiled back. He bought a gorgeous suit with a tie that matched the lace detailing on mine but of course, not see-through. It fitted him perfectly showing off his muscles through the sleeves of the suit jacket.

After finishing up with breakfast I threw on joggers and a hoodie. It was lazy but it would do for now. Pansy had come out wearing something similar as we were just going down the road to get our nails done.

Mattheo's POV:

The girls had just left leaving me and Tom. I didn't feel like talking to him so I grabbed the book I was reading and sat on the balcony. The view was gorgeous as the sun had fully come up and it's rays over looked the streets below. People were busy doing things in their normal day to day life. Walking to work, setting up their shops, cafes and restaurants and some just strolling to wherever they were going. I moved my eyes back to the book and started reading. It had been gifted to me by y/n when I went into her dorm for one of the first times. She had seen my interest in it and offered it to me. Of course I accepted it straight away.

2 hours later

I heard the door open and close and 2 female voices coming in and laughing. I was about to talk but my brother had beat me to it. "What took you girls so long?" He chuckled. He had come out of hit room with just joggers on and his hair freshly dried, meaning it was fluffy and you could smell it from a mile away. "We went to our appointment and then after we went to go get some iced coffee and donuts cause we felt like it" Pansy said in a matter-of-fact voice. Y/n laughed along "yeah but the nails are lush, look" she came in between me and Tom and held out her slim fingers. They were gorgeous. She's got that right.

Pansy came beside her "I know you guys don't care but here are mine" she joked causing y/n to giggle "don't worry I love you babe" she said after making her join in.

"Hey guyssss" a very energetic Blaise said with a very tired Draco behind him. They had been gone for a couple days and we had rarely seen them. Y/n said it was normally and I agreed, it was Blaise after all. "Let's see them lush nails" y/n turned around and he squealed "those will go perfect with your dress- oh and speaking of.." he pulled out 4 bags and handed one to each of us. "I took it upon myself to get everyone accessories to match their outfits. So y/n, hun and Mattheo you 2 have matching jewellery to match your outfits and eachother. Draco and Pansy, same with you and Tom I've already given your matching set to Astoria and of course I have one with Luna". I thanked him but my thoughts couldn't help but wonder why Tom would pick Astoria. He was disgusted by her. As much as I didn't want to I glimpsed my eyes over to y/n. I had already guessed her expression. Pure anger.

Y/n POV:
What the Fuck. Out of everyone. He could've chosen anyone but one of the people I hate most? Wow. That's low. I smiled at Blaise and thanked him but he had already read my expression. I glared at Tom and be immediately picked up on it. His face changed from smug to a softer, more sorry look as he realised what he had done. I know I shouldn't of been to offended but that was meant to hurt me, and I trust- I mean trusted him. I was going to try forget about it. "I reckon we should all start getting ready" I said excitedly. Everyone agreed and hurriedly made their way back to their dorms. Pansy would come in later to do our finishing touches.

First, i obviously showered then I did my makeup as I didn't want any to get on my dress later. After I did my hair. I curled it  into tight curls. When I was satisfied I moved on to trying to get my dress on. I removed the cover and carefully carried the dress with magic. I slipped into the dress easily. The delicate bodice fit my perfectly, showing off my curves. I loved it, it made me feel like a princess. I sat down and once again used my wand to put my shoes on. They wouldn't be seen much but they were high with nothing but lace holding my foot In place. I adored them.

I finished off by spraying perfume and casting a spell so my feet wouldn't hurt for the rest of the night. The final thing was accessories, which meant jewellery and tiara. I had a small sliver necklace with a small pendant on. On the front of the pendant was just a black snake but in the back it had the initials M.R. Mattheo Riddle. I smiled at the gift Blaise had got me and wondered if mattheos had Y/i(your intial) S. which knowing Blaise would make sense. The rest of the jewellery included a ring to match the necklace and your tiara which you had let Blaise pick out. And god did he do a good job. It was small, encrusted with black, shiny diamonds. Silver shimmered in places where the diamonds weren't and in the middle was a slightly larger emerald. It was gorgeous.

I placed it on my head and I felt itself use magic to fit my head perfectly. I have to remember to thank him for this. Pansy entered soon after. She looked amazing her red dress was extremely flowy  was ruffles on the edges. The bodice was covered in small red crystals and went up the her neck and wrapped around it. The crystals had continued down to the top part of the skirt like a waterfall. Her tiara was gold with a Ruby in the middle. The metal looked almost like it was bowing down to the middle of the tiara where the Ruby sat. Her familiar sent roamed round her. "You look amazing" I said, wide eyed. "Omg you too! That dress suits you so well. It was basically made for you" she stated as she looked me up and down in awe. I laughed. "Let's go out and see the boys, hopefully the clean up well" she agreed and we went in to the main living space where all the boys where already chatting. "Hey guys" I said gaining their attention. They looked at me and Pansy with their mouths hung open. We looked at eachother and laughed. "You lot ok there?" I said, making my way over to mattheo. As I approach him he pulled me in and whispered something in my ear "you look amazing in that dress but I can't fucking wait to take it off you tonight"
"There's something special for you underneath, love" I said, returning the tone in his whisper. We both smirked at eachother and I turned round "who's ready to go to this god damn ball" and everyone cheered.

We slowly filtered out of the carriages as we arrived at the venue. It was a chataue and a amazing one at that. Mattheo quickly took my arm as we walked through the grand entrance leading to the ballroom.

Andddd that concludes part 1! Part 2 will be out shortly. Hopefully I will be back more regularly as I am getting back into the flow of writing even though I'm in Africa rn with my family. I'm feeling much more positive howeverrr I re-read the story and sun fe I kinda started on a whim I didn't really have a plan for it which pisses me off a bit cause obviously there needs to be a story line. I will try think of one but if in the end I can't I will just rewrite this book eventually. Maybe I won't who knows. Anyways hope you enjoyed and are all doing well!
