DINNER
They finally got to the resto and y/n met the VP. Finally in the flesh. VP thanked her and gave her a warm hug. After the quick interaction Tricia and her got seated and started eating. Everyone was chatting and Tricia kept checking on Y/n to make sure she's comfortable.
Tricia: How's the food? Do you need anything else? Want to order something else?
Y/n: wow waiter ka na rin ngayon?
Tricia: ano ka ba I'm just making sure youre ok 'no haha
Everyone was busy having small conversations while eating
Then suddenly, in the middle of their dinner, a guy came and Tricia rose from her sit with much surprise
Tricia: oh my god what are you doing here?
???: Surprise!
Tricia gave the guy a beso and the two hugged for a few seconds.
Tricia: Omg mama look who's here!
The student doctor excitedly called her mom's attention who was actually been watching the entire interaction
Vp Leni: I knew he's coming. Actually, we wanted to surprise you.
Everyone, this is Dr. Patrick, neighbour namin noon sa NAGA, childhood friend ni Tricia
Vp introduced the guy while his and Tricia's arms are still wrapped around each other's side.
Tricia couldn't stop smiling
While y/n just grew quieter - feeling even more of an alien in the room
Everyone said hello and the guy Doctor took a sit beside Vp, infront of Tricia
VP: Dito muna sya sa Philippines for a few weeks cause he's practicing medicine sa New York talaga. He wants to volunteer daw while he's here eh.
The vp proudly told everyone in the table while showing her killer dimples
Tricia: Oh my god talaga so you'll be spending time with us???
Tricia still couldn't suppress her excitement upon the other Doctor's presence
Patrick: Yes Trish namiss ko kayo nil ni Tita VP eh.
The Doctor gave Trish a warm smile and held Tricia's hand which was on the table which Tricia squeezed and shake in return as sign of her fondness of the Doctor
Tricia: I can't wait to tell ate Aiks and Jillian Im sure they'll be thrilled. Miss na miss ka namin kaya!
Y/n just silently observes as the two catches up and when everyone was done eating, nag paalam na rin siya kay VP at sa kaibigan.
Y/n: Thanks again for the invite maam, it was such a pleasure to finally meet you po.
VP: Thanks again, hija ha. Malaking pasalamat ako sa mga volunteers na kagaya nyo.
Matapos ay tinext nalang nito si Tricia dahil kanina pa ito tumayo kasama si Patrick. Mukang lumabas papunta sa garden part ng restaurant para ituloy ang pakikipagkwentuhan sa kaibigang dumating galing New York.
Y/n: Tricia, una na ko. Salamat sa invite. *sent*
Hindi agad napansin ni Tricia ang phone nya pero nang iwan muna sya sandali ni Patrick para mag cr, dun nya narealize na wala na sa tabi nya si Y/n at agad nya kinuha ang phone para sana itext ito at nakita nyang may message na ang kaibigan.
"Shocks I forgot about Y/n oh my- Masyado akong nadistract kay Patrick"
Tricia felt really bad knowing y/n is socially awkward and most probably has social anxiety and she unintentionally neglected her..
She tried calling Y/n but she wasn't picking up so she went back inside the restaurant looking for her.
Tricia: Ma, have you seen y/n po?
VP: Yeah anak she already left, baket?
Tricia: What?
VP: Yeah nag paalam na sya mauuna na daw sya. Gusto ko yung batang yun ah napakagalang at gaan kausap. - Teka baket mo ba hinahanap hindi ba nagsabi sayo?
Tricia: No eh. Ako nagdala sakanya dito ako dapat maghatid pauwi. Hindi ko napansin napasarap ng kwentuhan kame ni Patrick.
VP: Baka may importanteng lakad just call her nalang and apologize
Tricia: Yes ma, thank you po.
After that dinner, naging sobrang busy naman si Tricia kaya hindi nya na napuntahan o nakulit pa sa text si Y/n. Iniisip nya na baka nagtampo na to pero 2 rally sa isang araw ang inaasikaso nya kaya halos wala na syang oras para sa sarili.
