Xion and Roxas

Day 23 ~Silent Companion~ 

Normal P.O.V

"Axel. I have a message from Lord Xemnas." Siax stopped him in the hallway and turned around to meet him.
"Among the members assigned to Castle Oblivion, there are traitors. You and Maxay must find them and dispose of them." Saix straight-up told him. 
"I trust, that really came from Lord Xemnas himself." Axel remarked. As soon as Axel acknowledged him, Saix spun on his heels and left.

There were seven going to Castle Oblivion, including himself and Maxay. He already had suspicions about who he thinks the traitors might be from what Maxay thinks. He wondered what this betrayal was even about.

When he got up, Roxas took the ice cream stick from beside his pillow and slid it into his pocket as he headed out. 
He wanted to know what he'd won. "Axel..." He ran into the Grey Area, but Axel was nowhere to be seen. 

If you're looking for Axel and Maxay, they're gone." Saix said striding past him.
"What do I do with this?" Had he missed seeing off Axel and Maxay? He stared down at the 'winner' stick from the ice cream bar. 
"Did you need something?" Sais asked glancing back at Roxas. 
"Um... nothing." Roxas said putting the stick away.
"All right. Today, Roxas, you'll be taking a mission with Xion." Siax said. 
"Oh. Really?" Roxas raised his head. The small figure stood in the corner, hood pulled up like the first time he had met her. He still hasn't seen what Xion looked like underneath the hood. 
"Together you will eliminate a particular Heartless, Roxas, you are in charge." Siax instructed him. 
"Me? Oh...okay." Rozas nodded, but he couldn't tell whether or not Xion was listening. 

Unsure what to do, Roxas opened a dark portal and stepped in. Then, in his peripheral vision, he saw the fourteenth organization member move to follow him. She kept her face still hidden under the organization cloak's deep hood.

"Let's go." Roxas said. Xion still didn't reply to him. 'I'm in charge, huh?" Roxas thought to himself wondering if he was capable of such a responsibility. 

After fighting off countless Heartless, Roxas took the last one down. " I've got someplace to be. You go ahead and RTC." He said to Xion, who still hasn't spoken a single word. Without saying anything Xion started walking away, probably back toward the portal to the corridors. 

Once she was gone, Roxas headed to the sweet shop in the tram common. The mission was finished, and it was time for ice cream. 

After getting his ice cream, Roxas went to the clock tower like he, Axel, and Maxay used to do after completing a mission. He glances toward the entrance knowing they wouldn't be joining him today. They had their own mission to attend to. He sigh. It was quiet without them around. He wondered when they were going to come back. He sure did miss them. He was just starting to get used to being around Maxay too. 

When they first met, Roxas did think that she was odd. But he thought maybe she was just shy. She kinda acted like how Xion is. He shook off his thoughts and stared back into the sunset.

In a certain room in Castle Oblivion, Axel lounged on a sofa, similar to the one in the Grey Area of the Castle That Never Was. It was just as uncomfortable. 
Castle Oblivion was an odd place. It had two equally huge sections above-- and belowground, and the memories that had the power over each floor would change the room depending on who was inside them. 

The one keeping the castle in its current state was a witch who could manipulate memories--Namine. She had the same power that Maxay has. 

The Organization was carrying out a plan to use Namine and Maxay's powers in order to rewrite the memories of the Keyblade master. There was something strange about the girl Namine that Maxay felt when she first met her. She couldn't quite put it, but she knew that she had meat Namine once before.
