Swiftclaw looked blankly at Whitewing. "As you can tell, I'm no expert on romance." He growled.

"Well..." Whitewing mewed. "I thought you could still give me advice?" She flicked her ear hopefully.

"I told you. And I'll say it again. No." Swiftclaw let out a warning hiss.

"I know. But just your thoughts on-"

"You flea-bag! You're just as bad as your mother!" He yowled.

Whitewing widened her eyes, hurt shimmering in her green eyes. "You... you promised.."

"I can't do this! I can't take every single cat in my life meowing about me doing different things!" Swiftclaw spat. "Go away, or I'll make you!"

"Get away from my daughter!" A deep voice snarled.

Cloudtail

"Cloudtail I-"

"I said GO!" Cloudtail bared his fangs as Whitewing pressed up against him fearfully.

"Fine. My pleasure." Swiftclaw lashed his tail and stalked off as he entered the warriors den. He curled up in his nest and sighed.

As the day slowly passed by and night fell, Swiftclaw drifted off to sleep.

                                                                  *****

Swiftclaw narrowed his eyes and crouched low on the lush, green grass.

"You're mine, rabbit." He muttered to himself as he prepared to pounce.

"Greetings, Swiftclaw." A gruff voice meowed.

Swiftclaw growled in annoyance as the rabbit scurried off after the noise.

"Go away. You made me lose my prey." Swiftclaw hissed over his shoulder.

"That's no way to speak to your father." The voice chuckled. Swiftclaw turned around to see a cat who surprisingly looked exactly like  him.

"Patchpelt..." Swiftclaw said blankly.

"Hello, my son." Patchpelt approached the ThunderClan warrior.

"What do you want?" Swiftclaw hissed. "You ignored me all my life and now you decide to be friendly?"

Patchpelt looked down shamefully. "It was wrong of me. I understand your anger. But that is not the topic of discussion at the moment."

Swiftclaw looked down uncomfortably. "I'm not some Firestar," He muttered. "If this is a prophecy, give it to Brightheart or someone." He said bitterly.

"So much like your mother," Patchpelt sighed. "Please, listen to what I have to say." Patchpelt sat down and flicked his tail and he beckoned Swiftclaw to sit with him.

Swiftclaw hesitated for a moment then sat down next to his father.

"Swiftclaw, Starclan didn't want me to even bother talking to you," Patchpelt began.

Swiftclaw rolled his eyes. Like they've ever been in his favor.

Patchpelt ignored him and continued. "I need to teach you something, my son. If you push cats away that care for you the most, you'll live to regret it. I can promise you that."

Swiftclaw widened his eyes and processed his words.

Have I had a short temper lately? He thought. Even if he did, he would never admit it.

"No. You've gotten it all wrong." Swiftclaw glared at his father. "Sure, I argued with some cats I cared about. However, that does not mean I am 'pushing them away'."
