"What's going on mother?" Christian asked his mum anxiously as we rushed over to the door of the mansion.

"I can't explain it Christian. It is beyond my understanding. Come with me." Mrs Grey replied equally anxious and eager.

She led us into the mansion taking us straight to the hall. Right from the door of the mansion I could tell whatever was going on in the clan, is big and dangerous.

Women were running around, kids were crying. The whole place was just so hectic and in chaos.

Walking into the hall I realize the chaos I was met with earlier, was in fact just a smaller one. The one inside the hall is much more bigger.

Sick men laying down on mats, some of them looking so dried up, some were covered with white clothes. I am presuming those once are dead.

Mrs Grey knelt down in front of one of the sick men... I noticed the man had a bucket besides him. At first I wondered what was the use of the bucket, but soon enough my curiosity was satisfied.

The sick man sat up abruptly coughing with so much might and vigor, then he threw blood into the bucket. The sight was so terrifying.

"I don't know what plague has spread through the men of the clan but it's dangerous, and it's killing them. Also spreading really fast. 80% of the men are down, I'm just glad none of the kids are falling sick." Mrs Grey sighed staring at the man with compassion.

I knelt down beside Mrs Grey my uttermost attention on the sick man.

The sick man sat up abruptly again, just like the last time he also threw up a huge amount of blood into the bucket.

"It start with just a small cough, then the cough gets worse and worse. The next thing they are vomiting blood, and then they would dry up.. they die." Mrs Grey explained.

I raised my head up shocked by what she said, "They die? Just like that?"

"Yes, It's exactly as I said it. Anastasia, I can't fathom what's happening. But I do know it's killing them really fast, we have to find a solution before it wipes out the entire clan men."

"You are not wrong. We have to find a solution for it." Uncle Mateo said walking into the hall, alongside my aunt.

"And for the solution, we have that." Aunt Maria said next.

"What is the solution." Mrs Grey asked sharply standing up with so much vigor. I followed suit, and waited for my aunt to reply.

"This isn't a disease or a plague. This is the outcome of the unfinished ritual." Aunt Maria explained, Christian and I shared a look.

"I'm.. confused aunt. What do.. you mean?" I stuttered in fear.

"I know you all thought the curse had been broken, but that wasn't the case. You only separated the dragon soul in them from their body, and that soul is a bigger part of their human self. Right now the men are nothing but living corpse walking. None of them are saved." Aunt Maria said.

"The blood sacrifice was the only thing that could have stop this whole death from taking place." Uncle Mateo added.

My legs suddenly felt weak and wobbly, my heart race faster than it's normal speed. I stared at the face of my uncle and aunt, hoping they would smile and say *it's a joke*

"The ritual has to be completed. That is the only solution." Uncle Mateo finalized.

If what my uncle just said is what I actually did hear, then for the ritual to be completed... Christian has to die.
